NP here - I think PP is right though. Einstein is not one of the super performing schools in MCPS

Another way of saying this is: The student body at Einstein is less affluent than the student bodies at some other high schools in MCPS.

B-CC, Blair, and Blake are B schools. Clarksburg and Churchill are C schools. Damascus is a D school. Einstein is an E school. And so on, through to W.

NP here - I think PP is right though. Einstein is not one of the super performing schools in MCPS

Either is RM. QO has better test scores across the board without any IB program, especially with diverse students. So take the 17% of the smartest kids MC and throw their test scores out and RM looks horrible. Adding Fallsgrove doesn't make RM that much better. More than half the kids in the SFH go to private school.

The magnet was added about 30 years ago as was the Ritchie Park Neighborhood. King Farm , Falls Grove and and Parc Place neighborhoods are much more recent changes.

But it's no longer one of the two or three worst, which it was for decades along with Wheaton.

You CAN get those things in a non-W school cluster. Just saying. Our school is rated a 9 (based on test scores), parents are VERY involved. And we are not in a W cluster.

I don't think that's true. I think for the Black/Hispanic students, the test scores between the two schools are pretty comparable, at least as far as the MSA scores are concerned, with RM students scoring slightly better.

And you're right, adding Fallsgrove wouldn't make RM any better because Fallsgrove is not the only high income area zoned for RM.

I would spend the extra money and buy in WJ. There is definitely a premium for WJ over Einstein.
