The European here - Sweetie, you don't catch a cold only from germs/ viruses.
No, the kids not bundled up were not at playground, but e.g. on a street, walking next to their all-bundled up Mom. |

DP. But it’s only inconsistent if one day you make a big deal about the hat, and the next you don’t. It’s not inconsistent if you never make a big deal about the hat, but always make sure your kid eats their broccoli. That is what choosing your battles means, not being fickle day to day about what matters. |
What are you talking about? |
+1 Do you of another way to contract a virus, other than, let’s say, contracting that virus? Because this is really important to science if you do. |
|
Is having a cold always a virus?
I don't think so. |
Here’s a lovely hat for you, made of tinfoil. Oh wait, aluminum is harmful, So I guess you likely won’t wear it. I suppose you’re an antivaxxer too. Because not all communicibale diseases proven by science to be caused by bacteria and viruses could possibly be caused by bacteria and viruses. I can’t even. |
+1 Make this year end! |
Per the Harvard article: "Their hypothesis: cold air rushing into the nasal passages makes infections more probable by diminishing the local immune response there." I fail to see how a hat would stop cold air from rushing into the nasal passages. |
You will be, too, one day. |
Well, it's 48 degrees. And no hats on babies. Of course the parents will be oh so surprised when the kids are sick.
|
| What the F is going on?? Why did you bump this on a mild day!?!? |
Where are you? Hawaii? 48 degrees is not mild for a baby. |
| Hopefully the original babies from 2013 are now able to keep their hats on. Butt out, nosey parker! |
