| At River Road Bethesda Whole Foods. Mom is bundled up warm coming out of her BMW, but baby isn't. Sorry, but WTF is wrong here? It's 37 degrees! |
| How old are you? This seems to be common with older women, the obsession with covering babies heads. I do not think it is a big deal if babys head is uncovered for a 30 second walk from a car into a heated store. |
|
MYOFB.
When's the last time you tried to keep a hat on a baby that HATES hats? Seriously, my 18-month-old is more likely to spontaneously start speaking in Latin than she is to keep her damn hat on for more than five seconds. Keep on judging, though. That's the holiday spirit! |
|
It's 37 degrees. The kid is not going to get frostbite while being transferred from a warm car into a warm store.
Slightly OT: Dear lady who yelled at me to put mittens on my baby--if you know of mittens that she can't remove, please, please, please tell me. As you can see, she has mittens attached to her coat with clips, so I obviously purchased her mittens. I even put them on her hands when we left the house. However, she has figured out how to remove them with her teeth. |
| I got more comments from random strangers about having a hat on my winter baby than anything else. Guess what, he survived to grow up to be an obnoxious (at least today) two year old who loves hats now (is there a correlation there?)! Please leave well enough along. I promise, no one is more concerned about the baby's well-being than its parents. |
Odd how mom needs a hat for herself, but baby doesn't. |
What's "odd" about it? |
IT. IS. NOT. THAT. COLD. |
| I'm always more warmly dressed than my kids, because they don't mind being cold. I'm sure it does look funny, but I don't care. They hate wearing coats and hats and gloves, and it's not worth the battle for a short trip out in the cold. |
WTF is wrong with you? Mind your own damn business. Neither of my babies ever wore hats. I dressed them in layers and they were plenty warm. I used to get comments all the time as if I was neglecting my kids. And, to the PPs asking why the mom was wearing a hat. Because the mom can keep her hat on. That's why. Idiots. |
No, actually it's not really that odd. The mom keeps her hat on. Baby doesn't. |
|
I rarely put a hat on my kid in the car (he takes it off), and I never put a jacket on because of the carseat safety issues. Getting him bundled between the car and the store would take as much time and be just as cold as just walking quickly.
So yes, I walk into the store in a parka while my kid is unbundled. |
Yes! Thank you. Where are you from OP?? 37 degrees is not even freezing. Ridiculous post. |
Me too! |
Babies don't "mind" being cold? How did you learn that? |
