Please cover your baby's heads and ears. It's cold out there!

So yes, I walk into the store in a parka while my kid is unbundled.

Yes, and then some old lady looked at me as if I was trash and said what a cold baby. Meanwhile he was just as happy as could be.

Geez, get a grip OP. It's not that cold out.

Babies don't "mind" being cold? How did you learn that?

37 degrees IS cold. Sorry.

My baby wears a fleece most of the time. She's toasty warm in the car under her blanket. No hat, ever.
And, for the 30 seconds it takes me to walk from the car to the store, she does fine staying warm in my arms.

Why does this matter to you, OP? So much that you post a thread on here? MYOB

Like I tell my older DD, 'Worry about yourself'.

Well, OP, I would put the giant puffy coat on my kid, but I'm afraid one of your cronies will then bitch me out for not knowing how dangerous it is to have a coat on my kid when he's strapped in his car seat.

Yes to everything above.

OP - mind your own freaking business. Obnoxious!

I don't put a hat on my baby to walk from a parking lot to a store. I don't put a hat on ME either from the lot to the store. Judge away if it makes you feel better about yourself. I feel just fine about my choices.

If my mom had her way my kids (who are older btw) would be in 4 layers in 37 degrees. Honestly, it's not that cold. Hat not needed for running in and out of stores (esp if baby pulls it off and you end up spending all your time picking it up off the dirty store floors). I, OTOH, was freezing and had my coat zipped and gloves on at the bus stop this morning. My DD would not wear gloves or hat (said she was not cold).

OP, MYOB!

I was walking into the grocery store and my baby actually DID have a hat on. A women said something to me that I couldn't hear so I had to stop and ask her to repeat herself. She was telling me that my baby's ear had come out from under the hat. Really?! So you made us stand out in the cold longer than we had to for such a stupid comment. It made me so angry.

Odd how mom needs a hat for herself, but baby doesn't.

What's "odd" about it?

seriously -- my kid is older, but from the time DC was a newborn she was about 20 degrees warmer than me (i wear a cardigan in the summer) -but her dad is like that - ALWAYS HOT! If the baby is not crawling around the parking lot naked -- LET IT GO!

Body heat escapes through the head. That's why you put on a hat in the winter.

Lol! I had an elderly lady in Target say to me, "You better keep a hat on his head before he catch da colic."

This was in October.

She didn't say babies.... she said her kids. Who are presumably, from the post, able to dress/undress themselves or have a say in the matter.

Are you my MIL?

She's constantly chasing after my kid and trying to bundle her up.
