It's a complete waste of time. It is cocaine, not fent, coming from Venezuela.

And it's not cartel leaders on those boats--it is a dime a dozen low level desperate people too afraid to say no. The cartels see them as expendable, so it isnt a deterrent.

The administration has pulled so many FBI off the narcotics task force that blowing up these boats is their only way of showing they are doing something about the drug trade, even if the drugs are not on those boats.

I guess in theory they're supposed to scare off the cartels but, in practice, there is an endless supply of disposable drug runners. Too much money; too much demand.

Actually it is a fishing boat. They do not run drugs in open boats. The evidence is point to this being not involved in drugs.
