No, they are not US citizens who pay taxes.

Ok, so no bail ours for Trump and his friends who brag about NOT paying taxes

Regardless of your opinions on any politician or area of the United States, our citizens should come first. Period.

Then tell Mike Johnson to quit campaigning, get back to DC and allocate funds for our citizens. You are acting like the spending bill we have didn’t originate in the Republican House. It clearly defines money for migrants v FEMA. And POTUS isn’t allowed to grab money from one pot and move it to another.

Your issue is with Republicans, because this is their spending bill. And because they won’t stop campaigning, come back to DC and allocate more FEMA funds.

DeSantis did take time out of storm prep to threaten PRIVATE TV STATIONS that chose to carry ads in favor of the state abortion amendment.

No first amendment issues there. /s. And good to know DeSatan is laser focus on the storms and not culture wars.

Maybe we should spend less money sending bombs to the middle east, and spend more money on FEMA.

That is the House to determine. Every election for every seat matters.

Same for California.

Places hard hit by wildfires are far from "rich". They actually vote red because it tends to be in rural areas.

My coworker's 90 yr old grandmother was impacted by two fires.

Okay. But again. This is the House passed budget. And it’s illegal for Biden or agency heads to take money appropriated for on things and use it for something else. Talk to the Republican Speaker. This is his rodeo and his clown car.

There are poor areas in every state. California has many wealthy areas.

Let Mike Johnson know how you feel! It was his bill that allocated monies to FEMA and the Middle East. The GOP explicitly did not want to fund FEMA. And know they won’t go back to DC to help resolve the shortfall.

He IS a good governor.

He is NOT a good governor.

Zero books last year in my kids' public high school library. ZERO.

Read that again (if you can, I assume you didn't attend DeSantis' public schools). ZERO books in a public high school library.

Because of DeSantis and his culture wars.

He's a monkey.

Climate change is real and is a very significant threat. Florida and the rest of us deserve political leaders that will acknowledge it and discuss it. Desantis is terrible.

DeSantis has been preparing for Tampa hurricane for years.

Ditto. Why do folks not understand that spending bills originate in the House - only the House can increase the funds for FEMA.

Please.

Yes. That is why traffic is backed up for miles and gas stations are running out of gas. That’s not preparation.
