I'm not one to use twitter for news (and I recognize you'll just have to trust me here), but lots of posters saying the tan suit was trolling all the conservatives who went crazy over Obama's tan suit.

I am the PP - and yes of course it was! It was her version of a couch joke. I loved it.

Yes, NYT this am was saying that Harris is apparently super savvy on pop culture, memes, being meta.... and there's no way this wasn't a very very pointed reference to....something. Best guess is the Obama suit.

you tell me this woman is not gen x - those chucks say she is

That is not very presidential…wow.

And Kamala was never a standard presidential name...

Until now!

On unimportant things like this, she's fine to make her own rules whether you like it or not

LOL, what are presidential shoes exactly? I love this woman dressing for comfort and not because some white man or woman is dictating what she should wear. Stay true to yourself, Kamala-ben!

OMG, and you're bringing race into it because, why? Nvm, not at all interested. There are tons of cute flats that would look a whole lot more presidential than a pair of Chucks.

Oh please, we all know the type of person you are (and how old you are, LOL).

What's wrong with wearing fun, comfortable shoes? What is unpresidential about that? There's no presidential dress code, as far as I know.

JFC. We're going to have a 5,000 page thread on Kamala and her fashion when she has NO fashion. She is such a pitiful dresser.

Nancy is rich as F* and also a great dresser.

the sneakers are necessary to maximize how many hours she can log in heels per day. it would be less presidential to have to slow walk to an oval office meeting at a key moment bc her feet hurt. the mental and physical energy she saves is worth the hate. it isnt ideally perfectly aesthetic but it certainly makes sense
it would make sense that she is constantly swtiching between the two.

people also somehow made fun of hillarys suits and obamas summer suit

+1

PP was probably “horrified” by Michelle Obama wearing a sleeveless top.

Pantsuits aren’t great on her. She should consider pencil skirts or wrap dresses.

Do you like pantsuits on anyone?

And it’s clear you’re a ridiculous Gen Zer. No, chucks are not presidential, period. No wonder people don’t take you seriously. Grow up.
