5-5-4. The 4 was in calc ab and actually a very pleasant surprise as kid barely pulled a low B in Mcps and at times had much, much lower despite a tutor and very strong effort.

Nice job! I don't get all of these comments about grade inflation; I don't see it in practice.

MCPS sucks. My kid got a 1 in apush and calc bc. Always got 4s when we had tutors. Couldn’t find a decent tutor this semester and the teachers were terrible as evidenced in her score.

Plenty of students get 5s with no tutors. It strikes as a bit of a cop out to blame the teachers.

That is really unfortunate. If you look at Princeton Review you'll see they have a range of AP type tutors, from a 6 hour cram session over 2 weekend days, to one-on-one from 10 hours up and a "guaranteed 4" or a "guaranteed 5" where you get your tuition fees back if it doesn't end in a strong result. We actually used them on a variety of AP's for our kids, entirely because the teaching in school was lacking.

It's a big county with varied teaching talent. Ours (Wheaton) were great -- 4s and 5s.
