In a word, no.

Then you don’t really have a school. You have a one party, one ideology echo chamber.

Okay. I’d rather that. There’s plenty of echo chambers for you right now in case you had not noticed, like our entire government, so enjoy!

Episcopalians are like liberal, “woke” Catholics. Why would you want to choose NCS?

Everyone is welcome at NCS. Put three girls through the school. Catholics, Christians, Jews Muslims, Zoroastrians, doesn’t matter.

Others are saying that Trump voting conservatives are unwelcome. Is that true?

Were pro-segregationists welcomed at GDS in the 1950s or 60s?

What? So many Trump admin officials and Republican operative parents at the school… the close is the safest place for those families. Do they wear maga hats? No but they’re the ones who either got his allies or Trump to DC!

I have no idea the answer to your question. Sadly pro-segregationists (who were Democrats) were welcome in a lot of places in the 1950's and 1960's, but thankfully those days are over.

But what is your answer regarding Trump supporters and families who follow a conservative ideology generally - are they welcome at NCS?

you want a school that allows only one ideology - why wouldn't you want an exchange of competing ideas?

You're not very informed, are you? Anyone with a basic understanding of U.S. history can tell you that the Democrats who were pro-segregationist were welcomed into the Republican party by Nixon via the Southern strategy. I know that undermines your overly simplistic view of the world, but so goes historical fact. The point I made was that the Episcopal Church has embraced its LGBTQ+ members and made fighting discrimination and homophobia central to its mission. NCS and STA are Episcopal schools, so why would people who are opposed to LGBTQ+ equality send their kids there when that is one of the messages the two schools teach? I know it's difficult for you to accept that those people opposed to marriage equality and LGBTQ+ equal rights are the modern-day equivalents of racists opposed to the Civil Rights Movement. Bull Connors of the world unite, I suppose.

Nixon first started the Southern Strategy in the 1968 and 1972 elections, and its effects did not take hold until the 1970's, but the PP was referring to segregationists in the 1950's and 1960's, so those indeed would have been Democrats. If you find it offensive that Nixon used racial animosity to win votes, as I do, then you should take a close look at the identity politics used by the Democrat party today.

Comparing the Democratic party of the 1950s to its current manifestation is like comparing traditional Republicans with Trump "Republicans."

Nixon lost the Southern voters to…..

Wait for it…….

Democrat George Wallace.

“Election Outcome: Nixon won the election with a majority of 301 electoral votes. Humphrey received 191 electoral votes, and Wallace finished third with 46 electoral votes. Wallace carried five states in the Deep South.“

Can we get back to discussing NCS pros and cons?

To the poster recently monopolizing this thread, you’ve done a great job distracting from the facts about NCS that made you uncomfortable. The facts remain the same, however.
