OP sorry for all the harsh comments you have received. Damn, ya'll are harsh! What you describe is no unheard of. I don't know where these trolls are living ... or not living. It's common for some 13 year olds to be exhibiting the type of behavior you describe.
Do you know the other parents of the kids your daughter is hanging out with? If so, reach out to them and maybe you all can discuss what each family is doing and so that each one gets simiiar punishments. My friend's 13 yr old son was spending the night at a friends house snuck out with the friends spending the night took Ubers from NOVA to DC at 2am in the morning and were just hamming it up until someone's parent kept getting Life360 notices that their son was close to home then close to school then eventually in DC. They too were drinking and smoking both boys and girls and apparently the girls were performing "favors" for the boys for a fee. Kids have no fear these days. Go to counseling, you are doing the best you can. No one can judge you because they are not walking in your shoes. |
OP, I have only read a small amount of this thread but please do not listen to the awful comments about your parenting or about your child. Parenting is hard, and when kids get older it gets harder in many ways. A special needs child can absolutely take up a huge portion of your time, as it should. It sounds like you and your daughter have talked and have a plan in place. Good luck to you, a change of venue for high school may be all that she needs. |
