Her symptoms don't seem to fit though. Unmanaged bipolar 1 seems to fit pretty well, in terms of mania and lack of inhibitions. Vivian Leigh suffered from this, was fragile and hyper sexual in a similar way. Before the age of social media, thank god.

If I had a friend doing this, I would be doing everything in my power to help her. But I know some people can't be helped.

She has been mentally ill for a long time and that makes it hard to sustain friendships. I read somewhere that she considers some of Sam's dancer friends and her previous back up dancers as her friends.

There are also apparently a couple past employees who have kept in touch with her. There is her mother and sister if she wants contact with them. She has her current security team and manager and household staff - some of them may be a support to her.

I think her support circle is very small. Sam was likely a large part of it.

It is hard to be friends with someone who is acutely ill.

All of these things are simultaneously true:

The conservatorship as it was needed to end. She was being controlled and forced to work.

She is mentally unstable, likely intellectually disabled, and traumatized.

There is no good answer here for intervention unless she becomes a danger to herself or others…similar to what Amanda Bynes continually and cyclically goes through. Britney is an adult and free to run herself into the ground.

Making good on threats = no one would ever work with him again. But if the payday is big enough I guess he wouldn't care? I wouldn't give him anything.

I’m worried about her too…obviously. FTR, I never got on the Free Brittney bandwagon. It was obvious the only reason she made it this far relatively unscathed was precisely because people were looking out for her.

I can’t imagine her family and the machine that manages her business interests will allow Sam to drag her through the mud AND take a big chunk of change on his way out.

Why in the world would you think that? She is no longer bankrolling her family, so their interest has unfortunately evaporated. She was burned by her family, which is why it's normal to expect she has trust issues.

This is extortion. She should file criminal charges and also sue him. If he just released the stuff without threatening, she’d have no recourse. She has plenty of money for a lifetime. She should move to a smaller place near friends, maybe give lessons in dance/entertainment, volunteer her gifts in a school for at risk kids, etc. So many things she could do! Just get near supportive people and take meds. Live a healthy lifestyle.
