To me it looks like he is having absence seizures. Not strokes. Not really commenting on the obvious point that all of these old farts should be returning but the physical phenomenon doesn’t look like a stroke or dementia to me. Absence seizures.

I can't imagine why they would want to retire it's such a plum racket - all the perks, power, they are figureheads so it's not like it's a ton of work. All of them have been in power for too long and that's GOP and Dems. Sorry but Biden is losing it too. He really is. And even if not, at age 80+ it is time to leave. To be President is not something you do at age 80+. Spare me the wisdom and experience thing. There's old and then there's old. 50s, 60s and even perhaps early 70s is experience but he's done.

The problem is - they will die in office these people. Nobody wants to give up that nice life. The other problem ironically is that I don't think there's a will to serve in public office anymore. At least not in the way of the 1960/70s and you can def make more money and go another way politically like be a lobbyist nowadays for power/money.

I think we're screwed until all of them croak in office.

It was bad before citizens United but now it’s out of control.

I also wonder about standards of journalism. News articles should not be breathless. They should simply report facts and a reader should be unable to guess the journalist’s political leanings. This shouldn’t translate into mindless both sides either. Just simple straightforward reporting instead of click bait headlines and emotional diatribes.
