| This is a person with three adult children, none of whom have any relationship with him. I don’t know anything about his wife, personally. |
Ok. |
He also had full custody of his three daughters which is unusual. Two of them are liberal activists and one is a teacher. His ex-wife is a noted feminist scholar. I can’t imagine they’re fond of what he’s done to this country. |
Genuinely curious why? He chose to sell himself to the highest bidders - this is what he signed up for. Money over dignity. |
| Mitchell McFreeze. This couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. His name will end up where it truly belongs—the dust bin of history . Previous generations—the ones that raised a loser like him—won us a second world War, put a new world order in place , sent a man to the moon, put great society programs( that he's spent his life trying to dismantle) in place. What will Mcfreeze have as a legacy ? He's unquestionably one of the most disgusting, vile man to have held such a position. Bye bye . |
I was wondering if the seizures might be a side effect of a medication he is taking doesn’t matter it’s time for him to retire |
They are the side effects of a TBI he got from a fall. |
| This country is run by a nursing home!!! Unbelievably!!! |
Why? Serious question to anyone who feels similarly. Unlike many, at the very least, he has an ample pension, top tier medical insurance, and could leave his current job any time he wants. He has the ability and the resources to focus on his health if he decides that his physical well-being is a priority. Mitch is choosing this. I feel sorry for people with health challenges and financial concerns who are forced to continue to work — or who become impoverished, and who lack adequate healthcare in large part because of Mitch and his fellow Republicans. |
+1 |
I think it's because we have weird parasocial relationships with famous people, even famous people we hate, and even disgraceful politicians who have helped orchestrate the downfall of this country. A good part of being human is that we extend empathy to people we know - and we "know" Moscow Mitch. So it's our instinct to have some sense of feeling bad for him, even if we despise him and what he's done. I think you actually have to fight human nature pretty hard not to feel that way. |
+1. I have a really hard time feeling any sympathy for him. |
| There's always been something with McConnell. |
