When my kids were young I was terrified of hot cat death. I insisted that daycare always always call if kid is late or doesn’t show up. I guess now cars have alarms and such.

This is a horrible and serious topic, but I couldn’t help but lol at this typo…

Might not have been a typo

I can definitely see that happening easily with a young child or someone under the influence

A college friend’s roommate died her car overturned coming back to school from Christmas break. The car overturned in a creek that had just a few inches of water but she couldn’t get out and drowned.

I removed the strings on my young kids' hoodies for the same reason.

Was this on the Long Island Expressway? I remember that accident. It was someone slightly famous, but I can't remember.

It was the director Alan Pakula who died that way on the LEI - a pipe came off a vehicle, bounced off the roadway and in through his front windshield impaling him.

Wasnt this scene in The Omen?

Also some freak accident in the UK where something from the road was dislodged and killed a famous DJ.

Keith's death scene in The Omen
Obviously trigger warning for peak 70s horror

We may know each other. Was she on her own at the time and bear suit may have been cause?

No, it was a man camping with friends. No bear suit involved. Attacked by a grizzly bear.

OK. In our case were able to recover the molded head from the suit she was wearing at the time. Not a bad thing to have.

One great uncle bumped his elbow and then died a week later. Then, one great uncle shot the other uncle and then went to their mom's house for coffee. Over thr course of a half an hour they discussed the death, and it wasn't clear if it was murder or accidental. They decided to cover it up. My parents debated naming me after the shooter uncle, but gave me a more American name.

A girl at my elementary school was killed by an automatic wall divider closing. It was horrible. The wall closed right on her neck and strangled her.
