Disagree. She has no curves, so this straight dress isn’t flattering.

She doesn't need curves. She's tall with gorgeous shoulders and striking features. Not everyone is trying to look like the same ideal. It's okay for people to look like perfect versions of themselves.

She looks like a teenage boy in a dress. There’s no real waist and she doesn’t have hips. It’s really unflattering. Her look is all forehead and flatness.

Agree to disagree. I think you just don't like her body type, which is fine, but it's not her job to make her body look different than it is. Like I don't look at a really busty actress and think "wow that dress does not sufficiently flatten her chest enough -- you can tell she has big boobs." Your body is your body.

NP-I think the top part would work with a fuller skirt and the bottom would work if it wasn't paired with that bodice. Maybe a more square neckline or a halter/spaghetti straps. I don't know. The dress as a whole doesn't work, regardless of her body type.
Well said, PP. She looks beautiful here, and she’s under no obligation to look like Barbie. PP is a sad, strange little fashion victim.

?

Most people realize you must embrace your body and dress it appropriately. You play up your best features, and you strategically select styles to accent or mitigate other features. The dress was a miss. If Fashion Police was still around, I’m sure they would have said she has a terrific slender frame and a statuesque body but she should have worn something to create a waist and the illusion of curves.

She does, but she looked SO uncomfortable in that cringey Jimmy Kimmel schtick just now.
Also, she really seems to be pushing the limits of what is a hijab. Much of her hair is visible.

I’ve never seen her expose this much hair. I assumed this was a show of support for the women of Iran.

Malala hit it out of the park. It’s a glamorous look and she’s beautiful.

I love Harrison Ford and he looks great, but he just never looks like he wants to do this Hollywood sh--t. Is Calista there with him? I don't think I saw her.

My dad is the same age as him and he sounds like my dad sounded a couple of months ago when he was having heart trouble.

Yes, I was wondering the same, if she is making a statement. And I am Muslim. More power to her. I wish Jimmy had left her alone.

But the dress itself is hideous and her styling is very plasticky looking. She looks like a Bratz doll (sorry Mindy). I wish she'd gone super classic instead.

She changed into the same dress in black before presenting! So strange.

It's less tacky in black and her head styling makes a bit more sense in that palette. Also MUCH prefer her lip color in the black dress -- even with everything I hate about the dress, I think it's the weird purply burgundy lip color that I hate most about the red carpet look. It's not necessarily a bad color on her generally (it's too close to her skin tone but with a different color dress it could work okay), but it is the wrong color with a white dress. Her head is all dark/goth/dramatic and then it's this bright white dress. She looks like a vampire.

It's been a long time since I've hated a red carpet look this much.

I feel like this is opposite of the turn around and take one thing off principle. It needed one more thing on - necklace, an embellishment at the waist, a slit, slightly more fitted bustline. Something.

I did not like it. That's not the right shade of pink for her and the train is just a big pink dust ruffle. I think it's a miss.
