No, that’s standard. |
What argument is that? That he willed them unclassified with his mind? |
That’s only an argument if you are six years old. They were never his documents. |
| The fact that you think Biden needs to step down yet are fine with Trump not having faced any consequences and being the top GOP contender for President in 2024, despite Trump's issues being far worse, is a huge contradiction. |
He doesn't actually. But, I'd love for you to explain this authority you think he has . . . |
Then it stands to reason that planting evidence is a possibility. |
Storing classified in your garage is something that would normally lead to the revocation of a security clearance. Both men mishandled classified. Neither should be killed for it, since mishandling the documents does not make them spies. |
There’s a long thread on this website saying how horrible it is, and how the person that has them is a traitor. Suddenly it’s "no big deal"? |
It's a very big deal. But right now, it's not a crime eligible for the death penalty. Mishandling isnt legally the same as espionage. |
You are so right. The other thing to consider...... Biden will never just step down. The standard is that you don't indict a sitting president. So, he is "safe" as long as he is where he is. He probably should be impeached. But, then, there is the issue of Kamala. |
Deservedly for what, exactly? |
If Trump hasn't faced any consequences whatsoever for it then evidently it isn't a big deal. |
The only thing in common with the two situations is both have documents they should not have. That is where the similarities end, whether you are too dumb to grasp that or not. One has cooperated (B) and one has not (T). One has defied subpoenas (T), the other has not had subpoenas necessary (B). One's attorneys are cooperating (B), the other has lied on legal documents (T). One, b/c of the above not b/c of having documents, is being considered for obstruction (T), the other is not b/c of the above cooperation (B). One is being considered for charges for violation of the espionage act (T), thus indicating at this point the severity of the documents in their possession (T); the other is at the early stages and we know nothing about them yet (B). |
The GOP has stated they'll impeach him for SOMETHING at some point. That process means nothing anymore. You could impeach him 5 times over and it means nothing. |
Except that . . . the distinctions ACTUALLY exist. No matter how much you claim they don't. Literally, the ONLY thing in common between the two is that they both have classified docs in places they shouldn't. That's it. |
