Should Biden even continue as POTUS?

A third set of classified documents found. Great.

From the Washington Post article:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2023/01/12/biden-classified-documents-found-explained/

Biden’s lawyers notified government agencies, and the Justice Department opened an investigation to see how the classified material got to the Penn Biden Center and whether there was any other material that should be kept under government lock and key. Attorney General Merrick Garland assigned Chicago U.S. Attorney John R. Lausch Jr., who was nominated by Trump, to oversee a review of the case.

But I am appalled to read that a second set of highly classified documents were located in Biden’s garage in his Delaware home. In my opinion, Trump should be charged and prosecuted for his criminal behavior with classified documents. Likewise, Biden should be investigated to get to the bottom of his mishandling of classified documents. In the meantime, in my opinion, the honorable thing for Biden to do is to step aside and let Kamala Harris be acting POTUS. Any ordinary citizen would have been in handcuffs by now

If you really believe this than you're a fool. "Any ordinary citizen" would not be in handcuffs now (e.g. A, Trump is not and he willfully obstructed the attempts to get those documents back).

Biden and team are cooperating, as he should.

Biden had no power to declassify when he took the documents. Trump did

Pandora’s box is wide open now.

Trump may have had the power, but he didn't actually declassify them

OK, but that doesn't excuse the underlying crime of having the documents

What crime? And yes, it does mitigate.

And if you refuse to give them back when asked it doesn’t matter if they’re declassified or not.

You are not absolved from a crime just because you turn yourself in. Whats next, letting murders self report.

It’s not illegal to accidentally have classified documents. It’s illegal to take them and refuse to give them back.

There is no such thing as the bolded.

The Archives didn't even know they were missing, unlike the Trump documents.
Biden's team is voluntarily searching for and turning them over, unlike Trump who obstructed, hid and lied about documents for over a year.
Biden has had a security clearance the whole time over the last 5 years, while Trump lost his security clearance after he was no longer President.

Can't think of anything sillier than Biden resigning because some old government documents have been sitting in storage for 5 years.

I mostly agree here...but I believe that Biden did not have a clearance from 2017 until 2020 when he became the Dem nominee.

Looking forward to this investigation.
