I voted for Biden and was happy he won. Except for Border issue, he has done a great job so far. But I am appalled to read that a second set of highly classified documents were located in Biden’s garage in his Delaware home. In my opinion, Trump should be charged and prosecuted for his criminal behavior with classified documents. Likewise, Biden should be investigated to get to the bottom of his mishandling of classified documents. In the meantime, in my opinion, the honorable thing for Biden to do is to step aside and let Kamala Harris be acting POTUS. Any ordinary citizen would have been in handcuffs by now |
I am sorry, but if you cannot see the difference between the two cases, then you are too ill-informed to be commenting on it. |
Trump was president. Biden was VP. Yup, If you can't identify the criminal here then you are ill informed to speak about it. |
Most Americans don't care about this, they care about inflation and gas prices. This is all political theater. |
So that exonerates Biden? Now I get it. |
Biden's staff immediately acted to correct an issue that was likely caused by Biden's staff. Trump directed his staff to obstruct the process of recovering the documents. Ask somebody who works for NARA how they see the two cases. |
OK, but that doesn't excuse the underlying crime of having the documents |
This whole thing is a joke. Yes, Hillary was first to get caught. Trump and now Biden.
I bet if we went back to President Washington every ex-president and VP kept something they should not have. Except maybe John Adams; who was the smartest and most organized President we ever had. He probably had everything in order and nothing he should not have had after he lost. But other than that I would assume 99% failure rate for records management and properly handling sensitive information. |
But that is very different from intentionally absconding with (stealing) and hiding documents after they have been requested by the FBI / Archives as Trump clearly did. The difference is that one did something illegal accidentally and one broke the law intentionally and knowingly. |
The law has the word “knowingly,” so I’m not sure there’s an underlying crime. Go read it. Let the investigation play out. |
Oh good grief.
Take a break from the internet. |
If you really believe this than you're a fool. "Any ordinary citizen" would not be in handcuffs now (e.g. A, Trump is not and he willfully obstructed the attempts to get those documents back). Biden and team are cooperating, as he should. |
LOL at “I voted for Biden”. |
This. |
+1 the key is “knowingly”. Trump clearly knew and gave instructions to continue hiding. Biden, we don’t know but it doesn’t sound like “knowingly” as they turned them in once discovered. Also, Biden is President now so he is actually allowed to possess them. |
