I gotta say that even the idea that Dulles south produces any decent players is kind of a stretch as Fairfax and Arlington have pretty much owned the 6a state championship for years . McLean Yorktown Madison Robinson and oakton are the best lax highschools in Virginia

Your ignorance shows! What does 6a have anything to do with anything in VHSL, except designate the size of a school?

I would put up recent programs like Riverside, Dominion, Atlee, older teams like Briar and Stone Bridge.
Hands down best team in VA last year was Atlee. There is no argument to be made otherwise. Oh and they are a 4a……

Right now true beats most of VLC’s middle school and elementary school teams. (True has teams at every grade - something VLC can’t say). Whether this continues into HS is the big question. ML looks shaky with multiple team implosions over the last couple years. So I think that there is a chance a team (true/VLC) moves into the third spot. DCEs 27 & 28s have serious problems and a lot of talented kids will need somewhere to go. VLC’s got a chance.

What serious problems does DCE 28 have?

DCE 28 just started practicing and has not even played a game. So I would like to know the issues that are starting this early.

Just wait. The majority of the VLC 28 parents that caused problems on that team went to DCE 28. It will be interesting if changing helmets and driving over the American Legion bridge several times a week will result in a change in satisfaction levels.

This sounds like VLC management responding...

Have at it, they would get crushed by Madison, Yorktown, Robinson, Lake Braddock, Battlefield. Lax is Loudoun, especially Dulles South, is 2nd rate.

Umm no way Atlee is the best team in the state not even close. PVI beats them by 10. Ohh and that team is filled with DS kids.

agree with your point generally, but you should include Langley on that list. In the past two weeks they beat both Madison and Oaktown by more than ten goals. I know it's only fall, but according to the kids, the teams had mostly their full rosters.

Other than the 28 team where VLC has none and True has a very weak A level Hoco team, how is True doing better at MS/ES ages? 29 True is an AA team that was destroyed by a Richmond team in a summer tourny, VLC had an Elite team and probably AAA now combining Poon + leftovers. 2030 was AA and True was A, 2031 Poon was undefeated at AAA and True barely had a team.

In NOVA, True does a great job keeping a bunch of very mediocre players who will never play in college paying $3000+ and playing for tgen. That's indeed an amazing job. Unless that's what you call "beats" by quantity.

The True 29 team (along with most of the True age teams) that went down to Woodbury weren't the same VA True teams from the rest of the summer. It definitely wasn't the 2029 that won HOCO AA. It was a mix of True Fredericksburg kids and some True Va kids. I know their entire attach and 2 of 3 starting middies didn't go to that tournament for a variety of reasons. What was True Va last year is moving toward a True NOVA program and then a True Virginia Premier team - sort of what True NC and True Illinois is doing. It is certainly a question as to whether True VA has the depth to create a similar level program. But, one of the reasons they are branching off into Loudoun and bought Venom down in Richmond.

I don't think the teams had many of their top players in those loses. Still, I would definitely put Langley on the list this year.

Easy killer! Reading comprehension is key and not cherry picking a a quote from an argument. The argument that was made was these 6a chumps (read FFX county elites) not realizing that 6a only designates the VHSL school size. When discussing that the point "which was the best VHSL PUBLIC school in VA last year" it was Atlee- hands down full stop. No where did I or PP mention PVI, or private schools. If you are that sensitive, yes, PVI may be the best in the state. But if you are being that broad and including ANY team in VA, I would suggest that there are men's league teams in VA (former college player teams) and Club teams that beat PVI. So have at it.
Your point is acknowledged, but not relevant to my post.

Just so its clear, Atlee (4a) was the best boys lax team in boys public HS school, read VHSL 6a,5a,4a- full stop

That's very unfortunate because in their marketing those were billed as "True VA Premier" aka True VA all-star teams, which makes one think they are True Nova+ quality teams. Like others said numerous times earlier, True is very good at marketing, that is a great business skill. However, no matter what way you look at them, this is just a AA/A ish program from HS to MS/ES teams. It's just a combination of rec A/B level players with with most ending their playing in HS. This is even worse than Top Caliber (heavy with D3 college players) in it's heydays.

Don't think Atlee can beat Madison, Yorktown, or Robinson.

And this is all irrelevant on this blog because how did we get started on a 4A public school down in Richmond? It has no relevance to VLC Lacrosse. If anything teams heavy with VLC 2023 and 2024 players (like PVI) would destroy anything heavy with Atlee players.

Atlee/ Madison common opponent
Atlee 14-7 (very first game of the season)
Madison 14-4 (very last game of the season)
Seems fairly even to me.......... taking into account improvement over the season vs injury
