Maybe. Eyeball test has Landon being a more complete team (faceoff dominance alone might do it), but there is no doubt SJC played an infinitely more challenging OOC schedule.

I bet we'll be complaining on these boards a year from now that SJC and IAC teams aren't playing. I really wish they'd all get over themselves and schedule games.

If you lose most of your ooc games for several years, maybe change the scheduling.

The newest ego in town seems to be Smith at GC. Scheduling Lawrenceville and national academy IMG is not the way. The pounding of the chest on social media is also tiresome for an Olney school primarily interested in football.

He's hilarious. Needed to be carried by ref ball to beat a bad Heights team and thinks he can play with the best.

The social media is cringe, but GC is better with him at the helm. Full stop.

Obviously. I'm a GC dad but it doesn't take much to get better from where GC was. He's a much better recruiter than a coach.

He's doing what he can can with what he's got. He's lucky Landon had too many players and the Whitman transfer went out there for playing time. It worked out for both of them. Next year will be their year if you are going to get a title as the cupboard runs dry after 2026. I'd also be concerned with him jumping again. After all, if the NL 3rd grade coach can become the Taft coach, surely Smith will get a look at similiar places.

Whitman kid got shut out by our old JV goalie who transferred out mid year until the Heights got a locked in 2 minute penalty. Tuscarora transfer from last year looked better.

No you’re right. Dodging into two poles and shooting wide with no backup with 58 seconds on the shot clock isn’t just genius. It’s Georgetown Prep genius.

I’m talking about the ranker above saying me ball on Bullis’ part. They put 11 on a good GP team. By dodging drawing dumping finishing. The only me ball I saw in that game was done by the GP attack.

Not the OP, but let's be honest, there are 3-4 guys on Bullis that are known as guys that only like to shoot and worse, only think they play a good game if they score. And that comes out in Bullis offensive play, which is why the reputation sticks to Bullis right now. It really isn't hard to see if you know what are looking for. Watch the ride. Look who sets picks. See who clears out vs stands in one spot (the shooting spot). It's pretty obvious.

3 to 4 very good experienced players who are looked on to initiate and put pressure on the defense. Nothing worse than a team w/o players to put pressure on D. 21 is extremely unselfish and does all the little things well that add up. 33 has a very high shooting %, 5g vs GZ 4g vs GP. They all move the ball. Do you know what you’re looking for?

Assists, for starters. Shooters are a dime a dozen.

Bullis got their faceoff man back. They’ll be fine. Even with you counting their passes at home.

So not so much on the assists then. Next.

Terrible take on the game. I don’t care how tf my goals get scored. Never pass up a good shot. You’re def that loon helper dad counting passes can only go to the goal after 5.

The funny thing, you think it’s only one person replying on this topic. “never pass up a good shot” says all you need to know about this dude. Selfish.

Anonymous wrote:Say what you want about EHS, but they beat WCAC school 3x their size. The IAC produces more elite lax talent from smaller schools. Gonzaga has almost 1,000 boys and went 0-3 vs IAC teams with half their enrollment. SMR taking down DM team 3x their size is also impressive. Heights lost to IAC team (STA) their same size. It's also clear WCAC football is 20x better than IAC football and WCAC hoops is 10x better than IAC hoops. But in boys lax, IAC is a little better than WCAC.

IAC enrollment
Georgetown Prep – 500 boys
Landon – 390 boys
Bullis – 330 boys
St. Alban’s – 285 boys
St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes – 230 boys
EHS – 220 boys

WCAC enrollment
Gonzaga – 960 boys
DeMatha – 800 boys
St. John’s – 700 boys
Our Lady of Good Counsel – 625
Paul VI – 600
St. Mary’s Ryken - 335
Heights – 280

This is a great point to remind everyone of….these IAC schools are kicking the crap out of schools way out of their weight class when it comes to student enrollment. Most of the WCAC schools more than double and even triple some of the IACs lol!

Moronic argument. Ten guys on the field at a time, brainiac. If it was all about class size, VA publics would be DMV champs every year.

You’re the moron. Don’t you think you’ll get a better 10
On the field when you have a 1000 bits to choose from vs 400. You’re an absolute idiot…let me guess St John’s parent lol

There's no going anywhere. The cost associated with EHS is $80k at a 100% boarding school with a religious association. The school needs to get back to where they came from and start pounding the streets in the affluent suburbs of the southern metropolitan areas.

Georgia is a bit of a hotbed now. I'm sure there are a few Fulton County finance scions with sons of the confederacy waiting to drop 80k for a chance to play better competition than they currently face.
This is a top ten post.

I think the rest of the thread missed the biting satire. Which adds to it I think.

I am sure that Bo and Luke Duke as well as the rest of the cast from Deliverance can't wait to get up to the DMV and play some lacrosse. As one of you said, there aren't "better" athletes down South but there are "more" of them. When the #2-#3 WR, RB, and LBs on the middle school football teams decide to switch to lacrosse and the South gets some better coaching in LS and MS, it will certainly catch up with the rest of the mid Atlantic. Maybe with the mass exodus to the SE, all of the young lax coaches will move to Fulton County and help some Buckhead & Myers Park private schools and club teams. Then watch out! Yee Haw!

DM Top 5 Week of 4/28:

1. Landon - The Bears are cruising, having won 13 straight. This team is balanced in all areas of the field, and rival Georgetown Prep is on deck.

2. Bullis—The Bulldogs showed on Friday night, with their beatdown of the Lil Hoyas, that they are legitimate contenders to knock off rival Landon in the IAC playoffs.

3. DeMatha—The Stags have won five straight. A victory tomorrow over the Heights would secure the Stags' spot as the #1 seed in the WCAC playoffs.

4. St John's - a tough slate of games for the Cadets who are hoping to lock up the #2 seed in the WCAC playoffs. Good Counsel on Tuesday, followed by rival Gonzaga Friday night.

5. Georgetown Prep - Lil Hoyas looked lifeless on Friday night vs Bullis. A win over rival Landon tomorrow could change everything and provide a spark going into the IAC playoffs.

HM:

Good Counsel - the Falcons have won 5 straight and are having their best season in a decade. Can they knock off the Cadets tomorrow to lock up the #2 seed going into the WCAC playoffs?

Neutral.

Right?!? The announcers for the UVA Duke game were scathing about the hill this clown insists on dying on.
