2025 Boys Private School Results /Game Schedules/ Commentary

the decision to bring in a mid year transfer from Lawrenceville was foolish and very shortsighted by both the coaches and admissions.

That is something you'd expect to see at Culver or IMG, not at an institution like Prep.

(1492’ Virginia Military Institute alum here)

Landon has the most VMI commits which is why I believe they will prevail this evening.

It was okay to bring him in given the circumstances but it wasn't okay with what happened after that. There is so much well-founded history of pay-to-play at GP that it immediately caused a ripple within the team. Lots of parents wondering if this, along with the goalie, is going to be a Shellenberger Bullis situation.

IAC Championship

Commentary

The two best teams in the DMV collide in the IAC Championship in what I think will be a very hard fought and close game. Landon came out on top three weeks ago, 11-8. The Bears never trailed in that game and controlled the majority of the tempo despite Bullis evening up the game in the 4th. Landon went on a furious run in the final five minutes to win by 3.
Both squads are very well coached and are senior heavy this season, it shouldn't be a surprise these teams are squaring off in the championship.

Attack: the Bulldogs have the edge at attack with Mahar (Penn) and Anzelone (Navy). These two compliment one another very well and have been tough to stop all season. Without a doubt, this is the best attack duo in the region.

Midfield: the Bears have the horses to run 2 full midfields and their depth will certainly be a big factor in this game. Southworth (Princeton) Stewart (Penn) Luger (Delaware) Neverosky (Navy)

Defense: the Bears have the slight edge with Cassidy (Penn) and Smink (W&L) anchoring the defense.

FOGO: While Landon has a two headed monster with Smith (Lafayette) and Goozh (Michigan), Bullis Cooper Revis (Princeton) is finally healthy. I anticipate Bullis will have the edge at face-off circle. Face-off wing play will be a key area to watch as the game un-folds.

Goalie Play: Even

Final Thoughts

This is going to be a battle for a full 48 minutes. While Bullis has the firepower and the stronger individual playmakers on the offensive side of the field, the Bears depth will be hard to overcome. Landon's intangible's should be the difference in this game, they "ride" as hard as any team I've seen all year and clear the ball extremely well.

Prediction

Bears 11, Bulldogs 9

Good luck to both teams and coaching staffs. Congrats to both squads for having an awesome season. Lets hope the rain is out of here by the 5pm face-off time.

Current prep parents are airing their dirty laundry on here is comical.

It's funny how Prep loves to point fingers at Bullis, Landon, and SJC for recruiting, but they recruit just as hard if not more.

I hope those divas from Bullis finally get humbled tonight. I’ve had enough with Coach Bellistri and his team full of privileged, arrogant men. Surely Landon will show up tonight and win that championship.

I give the bears the advantage on defense, which will limit Bullis to a mere 6 goals.

Final Score - Bullis 10, Landon 6.

I hear ya man! #11 defender is a liability that needs to be taken care of. Without him on the field, success is in their near future.

SSSA shouldn’t even be able to drink the same water as the “bad boys on military road”. They all around just couldn’t compete with the high level lacrosse played their. Also to respond to your comment saying “SJC is a mess”. Have you even seen their fogo play? Dude wouldn’t lose a faceoff against ssa. Take your terrible takes and sorry writing back to your minimum wage job and get off this site. Absolute joke.

Archbishop Carroll 93’ alum here,
Im with ya man. Those Bullis Pre-Madonna’s have something coming to them. They are undisciplined, don’t work hard, and have something coming towards them. There are two kinds of pain, the pain of disappointment and the pain of regret. Those boys will learn about the pain of disappointment soon.

Lot of talk to then give Bullis 10 goals and the win

I don't know, I've heard the Landon lacrosse team has had some kind of substance problem running through their locker room, if you know what I mean. ❄️❄️❄️❄️

Final: Bullis 15, Landon 6
Matteo Helton scores a double hatty

Dematha 87’ alum here,

They will learn. Unfortunately the boys have not shown up enough to make a difference in the game. Lazy, unmotivated, and corrupt. It might be too late for them, the substance problems have come to light in their last games, giving Bullis the upper hand here.

Final: Bullis 10, Landon 4

Anonymous wrote:Friendly advice to GP parent(s) trying to litigate kids playing time on DCUM: It was a rough season, but sniping DS's teammates on here is not a good look for you or the program. The kids and coaches all wanted to win and did their best. Have DS talk directly to coach and let them hash it out. Lacrosse skills are useless 4 years after HS graduation. Life lessons, character, and relationships with teammates endure.

Best post in several pages. Thank you!

Switching pages here a little,

Any thoughts towards this Dematha v Gonzaga game tonight? I’ve been toying with game all day in my head. Zaga looked really solid vs PVI, but Dematha’s been the team to beat all year.

What do you guys think?
