No you’re right. Dodging into two poles and shooting wide with no backup with 58 seconds on the shot clock isn’t just genius. It’s Georgetown Prep genius.

I’m talking about the ranker above saying me ball on Bullis’ part. They put 11 on a good GP team. By dodging drawing dumping finishing. The only me ball I saw in that game was done by the GP attack.

Not the OP, but let's be honest, there are 3-4 guys on Bullis that are known as guys that only like to shoot and worse, only think they play a good game if they score. And that comes out in Bullis offensive play, which is why the reputation sticks to Bullis right now. It really isn't hard to see if you know what are looking for. Watch the ride. Look who sets picks. See who clears out vs stands in one spot (the shooting spot). It's pretty obvious.

3 to 4 very good experienced players who are looked on to initiate and put pressure on the defense. Nothing worse than a team w/o players to put pressure on D. 21 is extremely unselfish and does all the little things well that add up. 33 has a very high shooting %, 5g vs GZ 4g vs GP. They all move the ball. Do you know what you’re looking for?

Assists, for starters. Shooters are a dime a dozen.

Bullis got their faceoff man back. They’ll be fine. Even with you counting their passes at home.

So not so much on the assists then. Next.

Terrible take on the game. I don’t care how tf my goals get scored. Never pass up a good shot. You’re def that loon helper dad counting passes can only go to the goal after 5.

The funny thing, you think it’s only one person replying on this topic. “never pass up a good shot” says all you need to know about this dude. Selfish.

Pass your way out of a good shot dummy. See how far that gets you

Tell me you never played college lacrosse without telling me you never played college lacrosse....

Right?!? The announcers for the UVA Duke game this weekend were scathing about the hill this clown insists on dying on.

“You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take”. In addition to not making sense, this philosophy has been one of the worst things to happen to HS lacrosse.

Maybe math would help this guy:

Taking three to four more passes to get a guy a window for a 60% shot is 3x better than firing a long-range, or well-covered 20% shot.

Make sense bro?

Passing your way out of a good shot opportunity - lacrosse, hockey, basketball - is cardinal sin “bro”. And no, club lacrosse is generally terrible. Nice dork stats tho - thanks

Different guy with the stats. But he’s right, the club guy you, and you aren’t very bright, and you never saw the field beyond MS, did you. No point in arguing with a meathead.

In hockey - you can play deflections and rebounds. In basketball, the rim does not catch a missed shot and give it to your opponent breaking down court in transition. A bad shot against a good goalie in lacrosse is as tantamount to a turnover. And it is just plain selfish play.

At least now we understand why you are always yelling at your son to "take it to the cage." And I think our kids say "bruh" now.

Get it together man, ... I mean "bro," ... I mean "bruh," ... I mean "dork statistician."

Good point, even if an offensive player has a look, a bad shot on a good goalie (mostly stick side high) often turns into a quick clear and unsettled on the other end. Shots with no backup in place early in the possession are basically identical to a turnover.

I'm okay with guys taking shots if they have a look, but only if they're good shooters and the shot is low/offside hip, or if they can place it where it's either a goal or if if goes wide/high the offense has backup and retains possession.

Any DMV teams playing in this year's Prep Nationals in Sparks, MD May 16-18? Could be a chance for SJC and Landon to go head to head.

Bullis is scheduled to play in it again this year. GZ dropped out. GZ has played it the last two years. SJC or Landon wants nothing to do with playing any more games then they have too.

Bullis is The People's Champion. But do seniors play? Because if 2025s can't play then Bullis is gonna have a hard time.
Anonymous
Yeah 2025s play. Bullis not scared. Other teams mulling over excuses.

Perfect time for Landon to play SJC. They should be ready by then. lmao

Give St Johns a few more years and they’ll be ready….

The lineup of participating teams in this event is not that impressive.

Kiski from PA is OK (depends on how many PGs they have), Everest Academy and the The cademy of the New Church aren't particularly strong. Hill Academy is no longer the program it once was 5 years ago as too many elite talent is being recruited to the NE Boarding schools, Culver and Western Reserve. Not one team from the MIAA or one team from New England West, this is a complete money grab for the event organizers. The Geico Nationals field from a few years ago had a much better lineup than this.

As an avid DC area lacrosse fan, I'd much prefer to see DC area private school title that matches the IAC champion against the WCAC champion. Have a girls' game beforehand and match the ISL winner vs the WCAC champion too. Cabbel Maddux has the resources and can easily sponsor the game at Georgetown and make it an annual tradition.

The IAC and WCAC ADs are incompetent and likely would never sign off on something like this!

Bullis FOGO= Best I've seen. Makes them favorite in my humble opinion for IAC.
