What did you eat today, and are you fat?

Anonymous
Okay, I'll start.

I had
Breakfast
A poppy bagel with tomatoes and light cream cheese (it's a big bagel- I'd say 2 servings)

Mid Morning Snack:
1/2 cup of mixed berries
coffee with 1/2 and 1/2
a small (SMALL!) pastry with chocolate- like bite sized

Lunch-
Arby's junior roast beef sandwich
Small salad with dressing on the side

Mid Afternoon Snack-
Small Diary Queen Cone

Dinner-
1/2 Italian Cold Cut (But it's a big sub, so 1/2 is still 6 inches)
A few sips of ginger ale

Dessert-
A brownie

So- in looking over my choices, I noticed I "treated" myself 3 times today (pastry, dairy queen and a brownie) AND I had a huge amount of salt- and I gave up by dinner.

I did get 3 servings of fruit/vegetables in- but still.

And yes, I am fat

So- for other fatties out there, make me feel better and let me know I'm not alone. I suck at willpower, I don't get people who say "just eat less." At least I know myself enough to know not to drink, because I obviously have a personality that's prone to addiction.

For all you skinnies out there (or people who are less than my size 16 self) please motivate me! Tell me yummy things you eat that satisfy you~

Thanks

Hard boiled egg and black coffee for breakfast.

Chicken samosa and lamb biryani for lunch.

Salmon and broccoli.

I'm fat because of the wine and snacks still to come tonight. Sigh.

I am not skinny but not ft either and have never eaten anything like what you describe. You sound like a heart attack waiting to happen, seriously. I am not even a good eater and don't eat that shit. If anything I skip meals or eat them on the fly but I try to choose healthy meals for myself and my family.

You treated yourself more than three times. I'd say breakfast, lunch and dinner wre also "treats" so that's a total of six.

I have to agree. It sounds gross how much crap you ate in one day. Treating yourself once is understandable but at every meal? Even when your portion size is huge at that, is just crazy.

I'm not fat but could stand to lose a ten pounds. I just started weight watchers online a week ago and have already lost 3 lbs. For today I had: one English muffin with tbl peanut butter, banana with plain yogurt tsp honey and 1/4c granola, leftover shrimp sautéed in garlic with spinach and mushrooms, one fiber one bar, and for dinner one glass of wine with cup of pasta with tomato sauce and salad. Try weight watchers-I'm encouraged that it gets you to track your food and manage weight with points and you have extra points so you don't feel deprived.

This morning: egg and cheese croissant, small coffee with half and half and 2 Splendas, small bowl of rice krispies with skim milk, 3 strawberries

Around 11:00: Luna bar, 1 glass apple juice

Around 1:30: small serving of roasted chicken, 2 pieces of fried yucca, mixed salad with 1 tsp ranch

Around 3:00: iced coffee with half and half and 2 Splendas

Now: 8 low fat triscuits, 1 beer. About to eat Vodka chicken and pasta.

Will be done for the day after that. And yes, I am fat.

Lunch:
A small bowl of oatmeal
Some mustard greens and meat (turkey, chicken and mushrooms)

Snack: another banana

Dinner:
glass of wine
salad with bbq chicken breast

I feel full right now and if I can just not eat anymore tonight then it is a good day. Currently, I am size 8 and would like to get down to 4-6.
I should have an apple later on...yummy (not!)

I didn't eat until 1. I had a footlong veggie sub from Subway and plain lays chips.

About an hour ago I ate about 8 triscuits, two string cheeses and a granola bar.

And yes, I am fat.

Not fat but 10 lbs should go and I am out of shape! Not extremely flabby just because I used to be in great shape years ago, but I get actually get tired now running around the yard and I used to be a distance runner 10 years ago.

No breakfast just coffee and diet coke.
No lunch, about 5 wafer type cookies from the admin assistant's candy/snack bowl that I pass by while running to a meeting. I did drink 3 more cups of coffee by the end of the day.
Dinner, 4 tostito chips (only 4 because the bag was basically empty), 3 bites of a cheese quesadilla (kids love them but I think they are gross), and a few spoonfuls of leftover mashed potatoes..again not very good so I didn't each much. I did drink 3 big glasses of diet coke
2 oreo cookies
I'll drink more diet coke this evening. I usually drink 1-2 liters of this stuff per day, serious DC addiction.

Lunch: salad with some grilled chicken and fat-free balsamic vinaigrette. Had some blue cheese on it.

Snack: square of Dove chocolate

Dinner: Bowl of homemade turkey chili with some light sour cream.

And I'm planning on having some Thin Mints in a bit.

And yes, fat and hate exercise.

OP. Weight loss is tricky! Wishing you the best of luck. While today's food intake was not all good, it was far from (Imo) as bad as some posters said. Forget about the cheats/treats, move on, do not deprive yourself, do your best....and be kind to yourself. Treats I recommend: Godiva chocolate pearls. They come in a small metal tin. 200 calories for entire tin. Whole Foods 365 frozen fruit bars (strawberry.) Trader Joe's has a similar frozen fruit bar (multi-flavor w/ strawberry, radpberrry, lemon.) Peppermint Pattie from the ftidge. A large one in 140 caps. Those treats are for my significant sweet tooth. Health items that I like : banana/apple with a little bit of peanut butter, good quality oatmeal, laughing cow cheese or those little round ones, handful of nuts/cranberries, medium sweet potato. 2 dates (23 calories each.) Sparkeling water helps me, too.

If you really lived purely on 5 cookies, 4 chips, 3 bites of a cheese quesadilla and a few spoonfulls of mashed potatoes, then you likely would not be 10 lbs overweight but rather many lbs underweight.
