The OP clarified it was Capital with the code of conduct, but you steamrolled that with an outright lie. Typical. And if you weren’t challenged on it people would’ve assumed it was true.

But since you mentioned it, what tournament / game did the Stars incident you claim take place? Dates please.

Narc is back. Why don’t you provide the tournament and dates the MD folks acted and and until then STFU.

I think we have seen this guy before on other issues. He just doesn't let go; it's his thing. The only way to end it is to stop engaging.

Don’t know how anyone looked, but exit poll was a big disappointment. Girls did not really learn anything, felt certain players were given more attention and “spoken to” and that it was a just letting them run around and play. I suspect Capital starts their recruiting through this process so no surprise there just wish there was more instruction.

To be fair, girls we heard from were not top players so can understand some of their frustration for lack of attention.

Stars LB has a good pool draw with Integrity, Xtreme, and M&D West. They have a good shot to make the bracket.

Pride starts out with a huge test in Atlanta-based juggernaut Eagle Stix, and then plays NXT and FCA. Eagle Stix lost or tied 4 out of its last 11 games in the summer, but will show up ready to play.

The way the A pool breaks, it looks like one of the top 5 powerhouses could be left out of the bracket as only the 1st and 2nd place teams make the playoff, and it is likely that 3 teams could finish 3-0.

BLC and MC Elite are in a pool where 3 teams advance. Not knowing a great deal about the state of those 28 teams, seems like there are some winnable games there.

Well, in a surprising turn of events, the schedules for National Fall Lax Fest have been modified, and Pride Red no longer has the tough but balanced schedule above. That schedule was somehow given to M&D Black (pretty interesting, no?) and Pride Red got their tougher start. Pride Red now has 3 top 10 teams, including #1 Coppermine, Crush, and Sky Walkers.

Pride has no expectation of winning this tournament; just want to face good competition. This change allows M&D to save face, and also gives Pride more of what they are looking for. Both teams are presumably happy with this change.

What is meant by save face? M&D is the # 4 team in the country. The # 3 team isn't even showing up to Fall Lax fest while every other top Mid Atlantic club is. Lots of chatter thrown in here.

To "save face" is to do something so that people continue to respect you and your reputation is not damaged. M&D was potentially looking at three losses in this first tournament, which would not have been good for the brand. The change, which may or may not have resulted from them complaining about their though schedule, allows them to avoid three losses and save face.

I have been around the girls' game for a long time in several capacities whether coaching or just as a spectator. I also have one daughter who is currently playing D1 and one who has finished competing on the D1 level. I can tell you that I have never known any M&D team to shy away from any competitor this is a bunch of garbage. Think about it even if they were to go 0-3 like you think they would the loss if they are to top teams doesn't really have an effect on the ranking and if by some chance it happened the whole club's reputation would not be tarnished like you think its one tourney by one of there many many teams. Just give it up NOVA lax is and will always will play a back seat to the Baltimore clubs sorry to let you down, pride parents...

And yet we send players to as good (if not better) lax programs and academic schools as M&D. Keep workin’ on those writing skills run-on sentence guy …

Do you really believe that though? Tell me how well those 23's ended up and those 24's they crushed it right? How many 25's do you have recruited so far? You are allowed to dream though i suppose...

Check your posts. You claimed NOVA lax is second to Balto, and the counter was that NOVA clubs send players to as good / better lax and academics as M&D. You conveniently forgot Capital, which traditionally takes the best Pride players (except for 2023), and is based in NOVA:

All true. Capital has an outstanding track record with respect to recruiting and has some great coaches and players over the years. The big question mark, as has been discussed, is how will they fare at 2028?

Unless the 10 or so players that are currently on MD clubs come back, the 28 team/class will be weak for recruiting.

Unless I am missing something, there are not 10 local MD players. M&D I think has 1, Heros has 5 (BLC 4 + 1 NL) and that is it as best I can tell. The solution to the traffic dilemma is the car pool. Now why would you leave playing with great MD players and coaches to play with Pride and Stars? Makes no sense. Might be a more compelling case if there were more local talent to draw from.

Again - are you trying to be dense? They would do it to play for Capital!!!! What don't you get? Those girls that you listed are looking to get into high academic schools that Capital has relationships with. They already work out at Healthy Baller and the natural move is to get them back in high school. Not sure what you are not understanding.

NP and would love for my daughter to make Cap (don’t think it is in cards) but is this a joke? I understand you want to get these girls back but you seem not to understand why they would not come back. This has to be a troll post.

I don't know why they would not....please explain

Because the clubs they are playing on have similar if not better recruiting, perhaps they do not like 50/50 playing model, they are playing with teammates they’ve been playing with for years as opposed to new teammates that have an adjustment period and they have just as good if not better coaching. Capital is a very strong program but if the commute is not an issue, I do not see any reason to leave an A level MD team. That’s just my two cents.

Listening to people discuss between Capital and a MD club depresses me. I’d take either in a heartbeat for my DD.

Don’t know how anyone looked, but exit poll was a big disappointment. I suspect Capital starts their recruiting through this process so no surprise there just wish there was more instruction.

Also didn’t need the healthy baller part of it each time. Would have rather seen another playing or skills station.

Look, I laid out reasons not to come back. I am not so much of a laxbro that I can recite to you chapter and verse recruiting for the 2025 class nor do I care to research. You seem desperate to get kids back and my only point was to offer some reasons they would not see Cap as a better option as part of an overall lacrosse conversation than some a-hole complaining about drinking at games.

Your reasons included teams with better recruiting being in Maryland, which you actually don’t know to be true.

Which clubs have better recruiting? Use 2025 commitments to prove your point.

Fair enough. My point was more anecdotal with respect to recruiting and I’d add that I think Capital is fantastic at recruiting. You also understand that recruiting at what one considers a top school for lax and academics are not the same so it is entirely subjective depending on what you are looking for. You seem hyper-focused on that one point. I laid out several others why a top. MD player would not come back which I think are sound. You seem to take this a bit too personally.

Wow - I never said anything close to no local girl would come back. I have no idea where they live or what their intentions are nor do I care. I think Capital will be very strong at 2028 I just picked up on this thread about why someone would not come back and provided a few reasons - again, as part of a lax convo as opposed to tearing people apart.

Which clubs have better recruiting? Use 2025 commitments to prove your point.

Desperate? If they come back good for them, if not…. Capital will be just fine. Those five girls are not making or breaking Capital. That’s laughable

I am the PP and completely agree!
