Wendy lives in Carroll County near Westminster. I think she's been a nice addition but she lives about 1.5 hours away from Potomac.

Ehh... on the basis of this alone she should not be on the show. Honestly, the show is boring because there isn’t enough glitz and glam. Replace her and Candiace with two people like Katie from Season 1 and then the ratings of the show will go up. People watch these shows because they want to see how the “other half” lives.

+100. Carroll County is a dump. You can get a mansion there for 600-700k. I agree with you on the lack of glitz and glam. I almost laughed when Juan says his ring budget is 10k. That’s every other family in my neighborhood and I live in a pretty normal area.

I don't want to be snarky, but I missed that. 10K???

I felt sad knowing he'd be judged (and laughed at and torn to pieces) after being vulnerable. Sure, he could say $100k, and go into debt and ruin his family's lives to put on a show for you, but I was happy to hear him just be real.

+1000 Anyone who watches the show knows they went from rich to broke and are clawing their way back. If you're laughing at him for spending his money responsibly you're an idiot. And nobody (I do mean nobody) is impressed by your engagement ring, either.

I agree. So happy that he kept it real. That's the sign of a real man in my opinion.

Absolutely agree! For me 10k is too much. Lol. I think he’s being smart.

He is being smart. But we aren’t watching the Real and Responsible Middle Class of Baltimore. It’s RH so we expect extravagance, glam, glitz and people spending more than we could imagine spending. If I wanted to watch someone pick out a sensibly priced engagement ring, I could have gone with my DH to pick out mine!

It was different in the beginning, but rich real housewives are now the exception rather than the rule. A Kyle here, an LVP over there (now gone), a Heather Dubrow over there (also gone). I’ll give you Stephanie and Monique, but, overall, there are more posers than mansions these days.

Juan and Robyn are my favorite and even though they’re working their way back to financial success I love their story and think they’re great for RHOP. Not to mention it’s a social status thing too and Juan knows a lot of elite athletes and other people in the area I’m sure.

I only watch RHOP and RHOBH but most of the women are wealthy on RHOBH. Camille Grammar, LVP Kyle, Lisa Rinna, Erika. Anyone with real class and money doesn't want to be on the show.

I watch RH to escape from reality, yes, but I like to think (I know, I know), there is some truth in the shows too. The right mix of personalities and demographics brings more interesting situations, so an ultra rich (like Sutton on BH) mingling with someone struggling a little more livens it up for me.

I hope Juan stays strong for his family and doesn’t feel he has to go out and prove his manhood some other way just b/c people are ridiculing him for not being rich.

Agreed. If I had to do it all over again, I would have banked the money my husband spent on my ring. I just wear an eternity band now and wear the ring about once a month. Big engagement rings are over rated.

He’s not some paragon of responsibility. If he was a real man who cared about their financial health, he wouldn’t have bought anything. He and his wife are typically overextended losers and he went for the 10k ring bc that’s the max credit limit on his card.

I’m cringing through the scene of Monique calling the ladies to invite them to her podcast as Chris’ godfather looks on. I mean, can’t she hear their tones of utter disgust? Isn’t she mortified to have Pearl listening to them blow her off? She still seems so self-involved and totally remorseless.

I find the title "Not for lazy moms" to be completely condescending. I wouldn't want anything to do with that. Lazy to her means you don't use essential oils and start potty training at 10 months old.

Isn't her husband an attorney?

I love Wendy's husband and sons. Wendy doesn't live in Potomac; although she may live near a stream which is a tributary to the Potomac River.

The Potomac River doesn't go anywhere near Carroll County.

Yes, her husband is an attorney.

All of this! And I was team Monique for a minute but that ridiculous logo/pic of a woman with multiple hands is off putting. I hate when someone has a couple of kids and then crown themselves mommy experts. But this is typical behavior in our town of competition parenting.
