She said he tossed the bottle across the room, not at her. She didn't help AH's side.

she said that 20-30 yrs ago he was an unstable alcoholic, jealous and tossed bottles
and look! in 2013 to present, he is an unstable alcoholic, jealous and tossed bottles

I don’t get how or why they contacted her considering they dates 30 years ago for a few weeks. Did they go through a list of old girlfriends asking for dirt or who’s still upset he got away?

I think Johnny's a mess, and that his lawyers are doing a simply awful job here, but I don't think that Ellen Barkin was such a great witness. If was a juror, I'd think -- this guy is 60 years old and has dated a lot of woman. The only woman they could find to say something bad about him was someone he dated 20+ years ago for a couple of weeks, and even SHE says he didn't hit her? That, to me, would lead to an implication that the defense lawyers had talked to all the exes and they all supported Johnny. I would have thought it was better not to put her on at all, then to put on such a weak witness.

I’m not a fan of AH but after seeing these lawsuits, why do you suppose no exes are talking bad about him? He’s still holding the purse strings for Vanessa and the adult children despite Vanessa’s money. He’s also proven to be vindictive. I’m not surprised they are supporting him to keep the crazy at bay.

I don't understand why they didn't subpoena the previous partners of both, certainly pertinent. Why not Franco and Musk? Why not the Disney bosses who actually made the personnel decisions? The evidence seems very...incomplete.

So according to Amber the nurses are lying, the doctors are lying, the police are lying, the bodyguards are lying, her own staff is lying. Everyone is lying except for her… the only currently proven liar. Interesting.

Obviously this is where his team is headed in their conclusion. But it cuts both ways. According to him, her sister, Amber, Io, her makeup artist, Ellen Barkon, etc are all lying.

I hope this is the case because, regardless of who is at fault here, the memes are gross and joking about dv isn’t funny.

Isn’t this normal. Bc at the beginning, the plaintiff was putting on his side of the case. Now it’s the defense’s turn to put on its defense and counter claim.

Exactly. Not to mention it’s terrible press and most actors want to stay 1000000 miles away from bad press if they can help it. Just look how few actresses, even the ones who’d been attacked, wanted to take a stand in the Weinstein trial.

never thrown any bottles ever. might have slammed a door in my youth but noticed on anyone. bottles=glass= glass shards.... bad.

You did not grow up in a home with abuse then. Johnny did. Her bad behavior probably felt familiar. His behavior probably came from watching his parents. In the video when he wrecks the kitchen, he destroys things and not people.

DP. But that doesn’t make it okay. Even if it’s destroying things, using violence to instill fear is a form of abuse. Destroying people’s things because you are mad at them is not okay. That may be what he grew up with, but he is a grown ass adult and it is well past time he took responsibility for his own destructive behaviors rather than continuing to blame other people for “making” him do it.

Lack of chemistry with Jason Mamoa was the official story. I think both could be true. Maybe Mamoa didn't want to work closely with her because of the bad press. I could definitely see bros closing ranks.

Whatever you want to surmise but the answer is in response to someone who asked why Disney didn’t testify. They did. And surmising isn’t based on the evidence.

It is not possible it is exceptionally LIKELY. Based on the actual merits of the actual legal case at hand here, and not the merits of the 'who does the general public side with' case.

I posted the above, I understood it as one question (does he lose and therefore she win) rather than two (does he win this case and does she then go on to win her countersuit).

I think for sure he loses, like I said above. I do not think her winning is as sure of a thing, but I do think that if he DOES lose, and coupled with the UK verdict, she will have a much better chance of winning BECAUSE of the fact that they have gone so totally nuclear on her as to truly have ruined her reputation beyond repair.

Ironically, he has actually done to her what he is accusing her of doing to him (which I do not think she has done, he is just too famous and beloved and a rehab/pr tour would in face get him back in movies). And the fact that she will have become literally unhireable because of this, and have a much better case for tying it directly to these legal proceedings (ie, she really did lose out on Aquaman 2 because of this, his losing Pirates was a much more complicated thing because his own behavior had been poor, the news reported widely prior to her op-ed, and the franchise itself was floundering financially making securing another JD paycheck for it harder).

Anyway, long way of saying I think her case wasn't super strong before the trial, but it is getting stronger with every passing day that Amber Turd trends on twitter.

This is a great point. Because he couldn’t move on, filed this claim, and then attempted to bury Heard, it certainly seems she has a far stronger case for her counterclaim than he had in suing, particularly after the deposition of the Disney exec (he didn’t lose Pirates based on any op-Ed). Because he is awful and wants to smash her down, he shows a lot of people what he is.

There was no fan campaign to get Depp fired, there has been a sustained social media campaign to get heard fired. If you’ve spend any time on Twitter in the last 18 months this would be evident

Last time everyone quickly believed her and rushed to immediate judgment. Nobody stuck their neck out to defend him because they didn’t want the msm or social media posse to attack them.

Now that the tide has turned on cancel culture, people are criticizing her and defending him…because it’s safer to do so now.

You can’t honestly have forgotten that he was quickly labeled violent and abusive as soon as she made the allegations?

+1. And fixed some formatting. Perpetuating the cycle of abuse is not rare. But the fact that an abuser was once a victim themselves does not shield them from being accountable for their own actions.
