Political Discussion
Maybe you just didn't understand it. |
They painted their faces and bodies black. Horrible judgement. |
I live and grew up near Covington. The issue is much bigger than that, and includes an utter lack of experience with anyone or anything unlike themselves, like generations of their families before them. A problem endemic to a large swath of this country, unfortunately. |
| Still, the kid was smirking. He doesn't have First Amendment rights being a minor. And everyone knows that smirking isn't protected speech. |
And, you know that this picture was from 2011 when these kids were in elementary school. Why are you holding THESE kids accountable for something they didn't do? |
Yes. It was a face crime. And he should be imprisoned for it. |
Because this forum has a lot of hard-left posters, and they love to crititcism the "enemy": affluent white males. This especially applies when they are in an altercation with a minority when the minority person behaved worse. |
I’m not. I’m holding the parents & coaches & school administrators accountable for poor judgement. Then and now. Where were the adults to say painting your face black wasn’t ok? Where were the chaperones to say that acting like a douche on a field trip wasn’t ok? Kids can be stupid — it’s up to the adults to guide them. And the adults continue to fail these kids. |
Nobody except racists paint their face black at a blackout. Wear a black shirt, but don't dress like a minstrel show. |
I'm holding the accountable for defending the practice yesterday on TV. |
| Here's how I know that the people who are vilifying the Covington students are liberal nutcases. 80% of my FB friends are liberal and post prolifically about political issues. After a few initial posts about this issue the first day, it has been crickets on my feed about this. That is because even my liberal friends realize the situation escalated because of Philips and the black protesters, not because of the boys. Just love how you nutcase liberals either don't do your homework or just love to hate on white males - period. |
This discussion is not about what happened back in 2011 when these kids were 9 years old. This is about the incident on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. And, I totally disagree with your statement that these kids were "acting like a douche." I guess you believe a teen smiling at a man drumming and chanting in his face is just a hateful little punk. Right? Because that is what this boils down to. |
For stating FACTS? Good to know. |
Yep. And, TBH, I believe it only a handful of crazies who are hellbent on destroying the lives of these kids. Hate, plain and simple. |
Did you see the cheer and tearing off of the shirt and the arguing with the American Indians and tomahawk chops and the ya, ya, ya mocking of the chant? |
