Are you saying that the Concorde District “Defensive Player of the Year” (Centerville #8 aka El Ocho) is not a quality defender? I believe Oakton’s #11 scored 4 or 5 goals and at least two of those was one v one with #8.

We don't even live in Oakton's district but I thought if you had the best record, you are the best team. If Oakton loses on Friday or in States, they will have been UPSET. That could happen - Madison is really good. However, the #1 team is still Oakton.

You say this, but Centreville still held oakton to their least goals scored all year … id hope Jenkinks could still score if she is playing D1 lax

If Centreville had a stud goalie, I think the game could have been very low scoring and interesting tonight

Way to go Joe, showing your true colors, don’t be sour Joe, life gets better, Lacrosse is just a sport, not a life or death🤪, I personally thought Centreville played hard and pushed Oakton. Way to go Centreville girls. You should be proud for playing well to the last minute.

Robinson 16 - West Potomac 13. WestPo had. 9-8 halftime lead but Robo was very solid in 2nd half. Last couple of goals came with WP pressing. WestPo had the ball in a 14-13 game with under 3 mins and turned it over.

Unfortunately having D1 commits is not the key to success. Playing as a team is. People seem to throw around the D1 name tag like it’s a game changer. Remember there are 120 D1 women’s programs. Agree. The path to a state title is to play well as a team. Centreville has so much talent but coaches don't know how to use it thus a lot of individual play on the field. This team could easily be #1 and win a state championship. Oakton has some dominant players too but play a very nice team game. Past state champions such as Yorktown and Langley also played team lacrosse and extremely well coached.

I dont think this is true, cant win without a goalie for Centreville.

It is also funny, people praise the Bucky times for Langley and I hear that the private schools have exposed him for just having a bunch of d1 kids for years at Langley.
