Bowser is doing her part, too. |
All the marginalized poor of color, being barred from their Georgetown field, by elite Maret’s greed and shady deals.
|
+1 The bolded poster is just another example of an entitled Maret poster who thinks that it's still 2009. It's 2019 now and the city, according to Maret parent and councilman Jack Evans is "flush with cash". Time for Maret to find a field of its own and hogging public resources. |
Yep. Make no mistake, Maret fixed up Jelleff for Maret. Period. And Maret got 10 years use. Precisely what the contract that Maret entered into allowed. These histrionic and historic contortions Maret apologists are relying on to try and explain away their shady and plain wrong dealings are sad. |
C.R.E.A.M cash rules everything around me, get the money! |
Everyone would have more consistencies that DC could manage public resources for public good if they emptied to garbage containers more regularly. They are often overflowing. After a renaissance under Mayors Williams, Fenty and even Gray, DC under Bowser is trying to reclaim its old title as Third World capital of a First World superpower. |
Typo correction above : “confidence” not “consistencies” |
And the citizens were too dumb to take action Stupidly they believed some representatives Agreed to not take legal action but to believe in honor |
Maybe the first post was sarcastic? |
I'd have more confidence if they stopped signing back-room sweetheart deals. Operational issues like emptying the trash can be fixed in the short term. Multi-year deals can't get unwound. |
The city budget was $8.6 billion in FY09; the current year is $15.5 billion. Flush with cash is right. |
And most of it is not going for capital improvement but rather is being wasted by Bowser on no-bid crony consultants and unqualified (some just shell corps) but politically connected “8a” contractors. |
That may be (I’ve not seen the evidence that “most” of the city budget is going to crony contracts. But the Maret below market no bid deal for Jelleff was clearly pushed by Maret’s connected board of directors and administrators in an effort to make sure they get their piece of the corruption gravy train. |
A little secret is that Maret parents don’t really give a fig about whinging by Hardy or any other special pleading interest group. People couldn’t care less. |
It's not a secret. They won. Called in corrupt chips and one. It's no surprise they don't care. |
