Joe is out

Really loving all the doctored photos. Very mature.

Shall I remind you, via E Jean Carroll, that Trump is always the least mature person in any room?

And this photo isn’t doctored. Here’s the withered old man.

That wasn't my takeaway from E Jean about what his biggest negative is...

Yep, absolutely getting the same vibe

You are getting an exciting vibe from the democratic process being blatantly disregarded in favor of the power of a few? Weird flex but ok go off

January 6 says hi. Don't even.

+1 and a party that is literally been taken over by Trump. Before that, it was dictated by the likes of Adelson and the Kochs so it's rich coming from a MAGA to suggest it's the Dems that are pursuing an undemocratic process. And let's not forget. This was Joe's decision. A good one I might add but ultimately his call.

Omg, I just can’t…

Johnson wants Biden to resign and then will refuse to confirm a new VP which will make Johnson next in line. All he has to do then is hope something happens to Harris. I suspect that Democrats are not interested in playing that game.

Yep, completely self interested. Also gives him lots of more leverage to play games during the electoral count after Trump loses.

Ah, projection in play. And in your world, VP Harris can simply declare herself president on January 6, 2025.

No, that's the theory invented by Republican lawyer John Eastman.

Does he still have a license to practice law?

IDK. But if he isn’t in jail and does still have a license (or isn’t waiting for jail or bisbarrment), it would make him unique among the 2020 Trump legal team.

The giddy, cocky simpering on this thread is fascinating. And also entertaining.

Funny to see MAGAs running around like headless chickens. What will the talking points look like in a day or two?

The only people who think that are conservatives. It's not the Democratic process, it's internal party decision making which presents a candidate for the democratic process.

So primaries don’t matter? Is that what you are suggesting? The will of the people doesn’t matter?

They do. She was on the ticket. Nobody is upset about this, except Trumpers.

She was on the ticket as VP.

What I find truly hilarious is that when Biden was the candidate, all anyone could talk about (in horrified whispers) was that if anything happened to him, *Kamala Harris* would be president - the absolute horror!! And that a vote for Joe Biden was really a vote for Kamala Harris as president. And now, all of a sudden, Democrats are pretending that this same person is the very best candidate in the world! And she’ll make a great president! It’s so, so funny.

The spin being put on this truly horrible candidate (who millions agreed would be awful, up until one day ago) is something to behold.

Zero. With Biden in DC governing, Harris can be on the trail campaigning. Plus, we can't have the VP slot left open. The House has to approve the VP and Speaker Boy Johnson won't allow that.

I AM NOT comfortable with Mikey being first in line if something were to happen to VP Harris.

i do not understand why when all the polling shows she has no pth.
can someone please explain why? am not allowed to start a new thread.

Cite your polling.

DP but she polls better than Biden in most categories with the exception of old white people. Also, before it was a hypothetical. Now it's reality. We'll see how much things change now that the Democrats have a fresh ticket instead of a tired old man with dementia. Haven't we all seen the Trump show before? It's a tired act. Harris brings a generational shift and fresh energy to the ticket at the top. And don't discount having the first woman President as being a thing for Democrats and younger voters.

+1. I’m raising two Gen Z voters. They would have voted with zero enthusiasm for Biden. But probably only because we raised our kids to believe voting is the responsibility of every adult citizen (kids had to go with one parent when they voted, if they did, we got Mellow Mushroom while we watched returns, etc). They are fired up. Which is essential. Because Boomers will always vote. Dem win if Gen Z turns out. But, Gen Z won’t turn out, writ large, for meh vs worse meh.

That is not exactly true. My immediate family is on the conservative side except for one VERY left leaning daughter. We all respect each other and try our best not to discuss politics at the dinner table. You can imagine our surprise last night when she went on, very vocally, about how she was not a fan of Harris and not happy how this all played out.

Most people - if they are honest - will admit this. The cheerleading going on now is so obviously manufactured and fake. Normal people do NOT want Harris to be president.

Yes, Trump's power is truly immense - he has turned Kamala into the next president.

The person saying that the loudest was Nikki Haley. Not really a reliable narrator.
