Madison-Yorktown
Oakton-Centerville
Robinson-West Potomac
Woodson-Lake Braddock
West Springfield-Falls Church
Justice-Edison

The Robinson-West PO game is one that could be interesting

Would love to see WestPo upset Robo

No chance that happens.

Careful what you say. Yorktown beat Robo and it wasn’t close.

Evidently Yorktown was up most of the game and lost it at the end.

Two very afmggressive teams. How many Yellow cards were handed out?
Anonymous
2 each. Just a hard fought game by 2 teams giving their all. I saw nothing overly agrssive at all.

The hardest foul, and not one bit intentional, was when a Yorktown defender was chasing from behind and took down a Madison player who had slowed up.

Interesting defensive strategy by yorktown

Bad information, 2nd half was total domination from Madison

Agree. Madison didn't just win it at the end. Yorktown came to play and jumped out to a 3-0 lead and it seesawed back and forth from 1 to 2 goal lead for Yorktown for most to the first half. Yorktown 8-6 at half.

Madison dominated a hard fought second half--5 goals to 1--and won by 2. Madison was able to hold the ball for last 6 mins. Warhawk seniors simply would not let the game get away.

Yorktown goalie played a great game, but Madison kept grinding away to get quality shots. Good game.

So did Madison goalie.

Another game proving vhsl glax needs a shot clock

Sure; but the pressure from the Yorktown D and the Madison effort to hold the ball was actually pretty intense. Madison passed up 3 point blank shots in the sequence, including a FPS. Goal spread would likely have been larger, especially after Yorktown went a player down after their second yellow, if Madison didn't just maintain possession.

I hear you on a shot clock being preferable, but this wasn't an example of a poor use of it.

Cville loses 2 impact players but should be good next year.
Madison yes I agree always reloads
And I do think Westfield will be in the mix.

Agree on Westfield being in the mix as well. Was referencing Oakton's better players in pp above, but you are right they lose almost the whole starting line up leaving #21 and #10.

Westfield's #19 and #24 are without a doubt two players to watch. #11 is also a skilled player.

Madison is like a shark jaw. They always have strong players to move up when each class graduates. There are too many promising players to mention jersey numbers.
