I’m a Dem voter, and I don’t share your optimism for the Dems getting their acts together. People accept leaders like Assad and other ruthless tyrants because they’re slightly better at governing than the opposition. These days, it seems like convincing people they’re marginally better is the key.

Trump tried, during the campaign, to claim that babies were being aborted after they were born!!!

Abortion is a medical procedure that's necessary at times to save the life of a woman. It is not a method of birth control, nor should it be, yet there are women who need it, and it should be available to them.

I agree. I will go further. Surgical abortions are physically dangerous and psychologically traumatic procedures. They are done only when there is no other choice. The safest abortions are medication-induced before the 10th week of pregnacy, the earliest being by far the safest. The immense majority of pill-based abortions are not used as a primary method of birth control.

This whole right-wing excitement over abortions is a fabricated panic made to brainwash religious/conservative women into supporting a political agenda that is detrimental to their well-being.
