Malaysia Airlines Flight Goes Missing En Route to China

US Officials have confirmed that the piece is from the same kind of plane as MH370. And since there's no other 777's that are unaccounted for...

Google the "MH 370 search arc"

Then google "Indian ocean currents"

The wing piece location coincides with the arc and the currents.

The fact that its covered in sea shells probably coincides with the disappearance date - although a marine biologist would know better about this.

Still not confirmed that MH370 didn't get quietly snuck into Pakistan for a period of time, and the Pakistanis probably made a perfect replica forgery for which this "debris" is.

[just kidding, but you know there are some morons that still believe this]

Your kidding isn't very funny. IIRC, there was initially no information on the location, followed by often conflicting information. In the absence of information, theories spring up in every direction.

One of the theories dismissed as "moronic" was pilot suicide; in the wake of the Swiss Air suicide/mass murder by the pilot, I think that theorie is a lot more plausible

^^^^^In other words, I believe the most plausible explanation right now is that the pilot of MH370 intentionally murdered everyone on that plane.

Don't know enough about him to hazard a motive.

All the pieces have serial numbers. So they should get a quick confirmation if it is the plane.

They've had the number for at least 24 hrs now - or more. How difficult is it to snap a pic and send to Boeing?! Just tell us already!

They have - Boeing is "confident" it's a 777 component from the photos. They will not confirm anything without physical inspection, however. That'll take a few days, the thing is on the other side of the world.

And exactly how many wings of 777s are missing? What more confirmation do we need, unofficially?

We don't. It would be irresponsible for Boeing to formally confirm what this is without actually seeing it. They're taking the right approach.

They could confirm if the serial number they were given matches the plane...

looks like they want that plane to stay gone. Makes me wonder if there was debris found long before this.
