Oh well.

I’ve passed this plant many times. It’s massive and is unlikely to close. Hyundai has just posted dozens of jobs this weekend looking for workers. Hyundai used ESTA incorrectly to get their Korean workers to the plant. It’s meant to attend meetings and train. There’s no way 475 people needed to be sent for years at a time for this. Hyundai also claims they had no clue about this because they use a temp agency to hire but they own the temp agency under another company name.

Many massive plants shutter. They made a mistake coming here, they should cut and run.
They got a lot of money from the state to open this plant. Brian Kemp can't resist subsidizing anything that says EV.

No special treatment for South Korea. If they are going to go after Mexicans and Indians, they have to go after anyone else who isn't following immigration law.
Hyundai will get these people the proper visas.

Fake news again.

The two illegal aliens apprehended were NOT firefighters.

The two contracted work crews questioned on the day of their arrests were not even assigned to actively fight the fire; they were there in a support role, cutting logs into firewood. The firefighting response remained uninterrupted the entire time.

No active firefighters were even questioned, and U.S. Border Patrol’s actions did not prevent or interfere with any personnel actively engaged in firefighting efforts.

The mainstream media is once again spreading fake news about federal law enforcement efforts.

OMG they were literally raking the forest like Trump always says they should do in California to prevent wildfires.

Private prison industry making boatloads of $$$.

Of all of the industries we could support and try to grow, why do we want to do the prison industry? Thanks a lot Maga. That is not a desirable industry.

Trump’s economy is only capable of building data centers and detention centers.

They are following the law. The law states that illegal aliens, especially criminal aliens, SHALL be detained. The Biden administration did not follow the law.

None, zero, and it shows how inpet the administration is in not knowing all of the hurdles and validations one needs to go through to qualify and be successful in getting HUD based housing.

I know there are cases where they can receive assistance from federal funding programs (RW, ESG, project based or medical based) even if there is no permanent resident or citizen in the household.

The supreme Court ruled that simply being in the country without documentation in and of itself, is not a crime. Are you saying that state law should supercede the Supreme Court?

It isn't a good idea to conflate law enforcement with immigration enforcement. They don't need to break the law to be forcefully expelled from the country. It isn't a crime issue. We're just removing them from the country. If Biden failed to do this then he was breaking the law, as was laid out in the constitution.

You are veering off topic. Detaining illegal aliens is not incarceration. Our laws state they shall be detained. They don’t have to break any other laws for this to happen.

Yes, but this is a change in policy.
This change deals with illegal immigrants who have been here for more than two years. possibly visa overstays.

Detention is not the same as prison for criminals.

I have some questions regarding this. S Korea has said the government has made it difficult to manage H1-B visas for workers. What was Georgia doing to help recruit trained US workers? What kinds of stipulations were there with this project to get tax incentives and what was Georgia doing to make sure those stipulations were met? Was Georgia investing in the right kind of training programs? If part of Trump's pitch is getting companies to invest in manufacturing in the US and they end up without US workers and don't get the help with the H1-B program to ensure the plant at least stays running and contribute to the local and national economy, why all the big talk?

Trump recently said "we have 8 trillion, that's a big number, nobody has numbers like that." I have no idea what he was referring to but I know he's been doubting all the investment promises as proof how the US economy is going to benefit.

And what about the worst of the worst?
