| Hear there were 5 boys in NOVA selected this week as 2021 Lacrosse All Americans. Including one from - dare I say - from Yorktown. 2 from Robinson. 1 from West Potomac. 1 from Oakton. |
That's great - do you know how if we can see any of the high school games today? |
So far this post is full on truth. Sleep on Yorktown at your own peril. Public school or no, they are a force to be reckoned with. |
| Where is this Lacrosse All American List? Is this for UA or something else? |
| Private schools like sjc prep bullis Landon pvi Gonzaga sssas episcopal would all toy with Yorktown. Those schools have real talent unlike Yorktown. Yorktown may be a force to be reckoned with in public competition but they wouldn’t stand a chance against those schools. They aren’t even better then riverside. |
| Where can we see who the 5 boys were that got selected as all Americans? |
I believe USA Lacrosse. No list that I have seen. Just heard about the NOVA kids. No all state teams this year. Thanks, COVID. |
Don’t have the names. But only one was an offensive player: Robinson’s attack. Rest were poles. |
| Are the games being streamed on NFHSL? |
| So the local districts and regions can do All District and All Region selections but Virginia cannot do and All State Team - that seems silly considering that there are not that many regions for lacrosse. |
+1 |
Sounds like one of those "grow the game" lists where they have to include kids from Indiana, Ohio, and Arizona. Was there a "NOVA" quota like a "west of the Mississippi" quota on some of those other lists? |
Well, if Yorktown is playing it will definitely be on ESPN. Or maybe Comedy Central. |
Yorktown is a PPV main event $59 pay per view. With the studs they have it only makes sense.

The Fairfax/Arlington/Alexandria publics get a set number of spots as part of the Virginia North region. There is a separate Virginia Loudoun region with a set number of slots for Loudoun County publics. The WCAC, IAC, and MAC schools - including the Virginia privates in those leagues - are all grouped into the Potomac Region, which gets just four slots a year. Considerably harder to make All American for a player in the Potomac Region than for a player in a NoVa public. In some years, there are Under Armour All Americans who do not make US Lacrosse All American for the Potomac Region. Similar situation for the MIAA in Baltimore. |
