If you’re heading to FVU, get ready for more downs. |

FVU = Valor RL |
Never change, Valor parent. Thanks for reminding me why we left! |
Then I clearly don’t know you |
| Those sidelines are going to be lit! Talking trash to each other before the team is even formed. Apparently none of you know what an alliance means. It means kids are together almost every day, which means the parents are almost always in contact. Stay classy! |
Ask NVA how that “alliance” worked out |
This is a good point. None of these alliances ever workout. Buyer beware… |
Yeah but in this case, there isnt one team that is directly fed into a club. It is different. Not saying better, but it is different. |
Nahh, you’ll be ok being at McLean. They aren’t taking many from the “Alliance” anyways. |
| Speaking of McLean, I wonder how many 2014 boys on their top team would rather play for FVU next year than MLSNext 2. Pretty sure McLean‘s team is stronger than most of the teams in the so-called alliance. |
The 2014 VYS boys are really strong and should make a strong showing in FVU. Other than some early losses to Richmond teams they have had a good run. |
Thanks for the response (all be it late), but we're not at McLean. When we were leaving our club it was not part of the alliance. Now we are at Loudoun and wouldn't mind trying out FVU. I know my DC would make it but how do I get her looked at by FVU earlier to tryouts. I know a lot of people here are saying FVU will take the best and others are now saying that "alliance" teams are getting early looks and coaches already know who they want. A lot of confusion here. |
You can try to reach out and see if the coach will let you in on a session. The only thing is if you are coming from an ECNL club you cannot join a session until March 1. if your club is GA then you can join a session before March 1 (and I believe the reverse is also true, but not sure about GA rules) If your child is u12 but trying out for these clubs in the spring, those rules are supposed to apply, ymmv though because some clubs may not care about the March 1 rule because they are considered "Pre-ECNL" or "Pre-GA" |
