Then you are a moron and can reap the consequences. This is not a platform for Palestinian A to speak out about their issues, I say this as someone who has been and is a staunch Gaza supporter.

As for Jewish speakers, I saw Josh Shapiro but he was there as a governor, not as a person of Jewish faith. Also, politics is never about 100% this or that, it’s about timing. Like it or not but politics is never about idealism, there is a whole lot of gray and a smidge of black and white.

Name call all you want; it’s the DNC who are cowards and decided that kowtowing to Zionists was their priority, to the point of denying even a single Palestinian-American the opportunity to speak. They’ll lose my vote if they can’t fix that.

More important, what is the Trump plan for Palestine? (hint: push them into the sea so Jared can develop the beachfront)
What is the Biden-Harris plan? Get aid into Gaza, a cease fire, get the remaining hostages home and work towards a permanent two state solution.

Please explain to me why Palestinians and Arab-Muslims think Trump would be better?

They believe Trump can push to stop the war.

Let’s be honest. Do you think Hamas or Bibi will be more afraid of an America led by Kamala and Tim or Trump?

(I’m not going to even mention eyeliner Vance because he won’t inspire any fear in anybody).

These groups in particular will haggle and bargain over price of bread if you go to Israel or West Bank.. Both these groups have certain things in common and being passionate and stubborn to compromise and fold is one of those things. Blinker may be Jewish but he lacks the fire and temperament of someone like a Schumer or Anthony Weiner or even Bernie. He is a fence sitter and a sitting duck. Taking both sides of the conflict makes you a nobody. These 2 parties in the conflict need someone unpredictable and borderline insane like Trump.

Can you quote Trump saying he wants to stop the war, that he supports Palestinians, that he feels empathy for them, that he wants to put pressure on Bibi to get a ceasefire? Anything to indicate Bibi fears Trump at all? Thanks.

From last night, I thought Clinton . .. it wasn't his best. And went long. But he won't be doing many more of these so it was good to see.

I liked Jeffries a lot. The Boyfriend reference was hysterical. He's smart as a whip, charismatic, and a good speaker.

I also LOOOOOVED Pete. He was my candidate in 2020 and watching him you can see why.

+1

I love Pete also.

Jeffries gave a terrible speech. What are you talking about?

NP. I enjoyed it very much. I especially liked the reference to the old boyfriend who just won't go away, aka stalker. It was a fitting analogy to the donald.

+10000 Love Jeffries - he is such a great speaker!

Having 7 TVs on doesn't move the needle. There are selected households that have meters. It is like polling.

What if they are still doing it? 1,000,000 = 7,000,0000 therefore ratings arer low

LOL Are you suggesting 1,000,000 people have 7 tvs in their house and they all turn them on to watch the DNC to drive up ratings? Do you work for the Trump campaign with that level of intelligence?

Doug Emhoff spoke both as second gentleman AND as a person of Jewish Faith. He spent part of his time talking about how Harris has embraced his Jewish Faith and honors his family traditions, including cooking traditional Jewish foods for Passover. He has spoken as a Jew about antiSemitism. He is not hiding his Faith.

Attorney General Keith Ellison spoke about the Gaza situation during his speech. He is not Palestinian, but he is a Muslim.

They pay big bucks so they and their kids never come in contact with regular Americans. Blue team, red team…it’s the same team. And we’re suckers for buying into this oligarch war-mongering illusion of choice theater.

Chris Cuomo of all people just nailed it. Red team, blue team…it’s the same team. These conventions are all prole theater with the same fat cats, mega corps, and Wall Street crooks controlling the show.

It’s amazing how Cuomo finally tells the truth now that he’s left CNN.

The defense and pharmaceutical industries own all the cable news networks (CNN, MSNBC, Fox but especially MSNBC and CNN) and guess who pushed for lower cost prescriptions for seniors from Canada and pushed for no new wars and getting along with Putin to fix up the Middle East/Syria, and avoid a new Cold War, inc. for Washington?

The deep state hates Trump esp Big Pharma and War, Inc that own all the commercials and news stations with their paid advertising

Trump tried to overthrow our government when he lost the election. Every good American should hate him.

Go take a hike. After tumultuous 8-9 months of infighting within the party, we have reached this fragile unity, people like you can sit on the sidelines and sulk all you want. We don’t want your vote, you can reminisce about the good old days when Trump is back.

And it will be worse. Harris at least tries to walk the very thin line with being supportive of Israel while commiserating over Arab deaths. She has come out and verbally chastised Netanyahu about the wide-scale Arab death toll and the need for humanitarian aid to the Gazans.

Trump is a very, very pro-Israel supporter and has said nothing about protection or support for the Arabs. Trump has made no objections to Israel's defense of their borders and the singleminded determination of the Israelis to destroy Hamas even if it means horrific Arab civilian sacrifices.

So, while there are Arab sympathetic objectors to the current administration, voting for Trump or sitting out the election will actually be worse for US support of Palestinians. PP who says that Harris would lose your support, do you really realize that Trump will be worse for the Palestinians than Harris? She at least supports humanitarian aid for the Gazans and decries the violence against civilians that Hamas is using as human shields. Trump will not verbally support the Arabs, does not discourage Israeli violence against Palestinians and does not support humanitarian aid to Gaza.

So, why do you think that you supporting Trump or sitting out the election carries the message you want to send?

Trump changed. He was talking about deaths earlier this year and pushing for an end to the war. Now he’s really ramping up the rhetoric even using Palestinian as a slur and calling Schumer Palestinian ? but I think he’s doing this to get Jewish donations but once he’s in, he will push for an end.

Trump didn’t start one new war for Washington from 2016-2020. That’s why they hate him.

He didn't need to "start" any wars - he was giving China and Russia everything they wanted.

What wars has Biden started? Where are US troops deployed abroad fighting wars?

How did he give them what they wanted? He placed more sanctions on Russia and tarriffs on China.

Gave them what they wanted? How?

Tellingly, China didn’t encroach on Taiwan and Russia didn’t encroach on Ukraine when Trump was in office.

Putin invaded Crimea in 2014. Stopped then returned when Pres Biden came to office.

The rest of the world doesn’t fear or respect Democrat leaders or policy. They think they are beta males and weak.

They think Trump is strong and intimidating because he’s unpredictable

Putin didn’t need to act while Trump was in office because Trump was his lapdog.

Why weren't there protests at the RNC, hmmm?

Because Dems actually care about Gaza. They are just trying to three an extremely delicate needle to keep the party unified for the election. But some Dem voters want more on Gaza and think protesting can get concessions, like. Speaker at the Convention. Understandable. But not helpful to getting Harris elected. And if she isn’t elected, Gaza will be wiped off the map.

So why no protestors at the R convention? Because everyone knows Trump doesn’t give a flying flip about Gaza and there are zero concession to be had. And Rs would be fine with protestors, who they would pain as violent leftists.

In related news, Rs would also be fine with LGBTQ protestors at their convention. Dems would actually care.

The problem is the Gaza protestors are like BERNIE bros. They want all their demands met now for they re sitting in a corner and sulking. That they don’t get that compromise is needed to reach a larger goal. They refuse to be team players, then yell when they aren't in the starting lineup.

I'm quite aware of that, PP, and agree. It's like Nader voters in 2000. They got Bush elected instead of Gore. I'm sure they were thrilled.

You think this way because neither you nor Trump understand what motivates Putin, which is to have a buffer between Russia and NATO. Trump did not support NATO; ergo, Putin saw no need to invade Ukraine. Biden takes office, shows support for NATO; Zelensky again expresses the desire to join NATO. Russia invades Ukraine.

https://www.politifact.com/article/2022/apr/14/ask-politifact-whats-ukraines-history-trying-join-/

Russian President Vladimir Putin has long cited NATO’s expansion into Eastern Europe as a pretext for his country’s invasion of neighboring Ukraine.

The only reason Putin didn't invade when Trump was in office is because basically Trump likes Putin and hates NATO. And apparently, you do, too. Completely anti-American.

The mistake you are both making is assuming that the concern trolls on here care about Jewish people or Gaza. They care about neither. They’re Republicans, hoping to push the one wedge issue they think might work.

Why? Because the GOP has nothing. There’s nothing likable about the GOP ticket, there’s nothing good in the GOP’s policies, which are essentially Christian nationalism both here and abroad, so support for Israel (because the Book of Revelations can’t come true if Jewish people aren’t there!) but antisemitism everywhere else. There’s a reason so many neo Nazis are Republicans. And so the GOP has naught to do but to sow discord.

Meanwhile Walz had an amazing speech last night and ended up showcasing his wonderful family and their close and loving relationship.

The main problem last night was Clinton went off script and for about 30 minutes too long. On the other hand, that was probably his last major public speech, so he milked it.

I thought Pete and Walz were fine/good.

With Biden, the Clintons and Pelosi, we are seeing a true transition to Harris, Pete, Jeffries etc. I agree that last night didn't have the same juju as the first two nights, but I expect tonight to end strong.

it was fine, his teleprompter broke. love that guy.

early voting is in a couple weeks. its fine.

trump seems like he doesnt feel like doing it anymore. esp combined w almost dying. the only thing to gain is leverage in court cases. i think everyone feels that kamala is inevitable.

You mean like Hillary was in 2016?

Sure thing.

So it's another good reminder to check your registration via Vote.GOV (or Vote.ORG, if you prefer), make a plan for voting on the day you will vote, and remember that there is always the option of casting a provisional ballot which can be "cured" later, if you are challenged.

There will be free legal support to protect your voting rights in each state and DC.
