You think she is the only woman that has turned Piers down?

I believe he is happily married?
I think it's more than that - she approached him and he has a sense of huge self importance, to be dismissed in any social capacity is a big blow to his ego.
That's my theory anyway.

I have no idea. But, if she ghosted him, that says a lot about her character.

Why? They had drinks together, they weren’t even friends. Why does she need to stay in touch with him. Are we all obligated to be friends with everybody we have met?

DP. Exactly. She doesn’t need to stay in touch with him.

But the fact that they aren’t buddies anymore isn’t because of racism.

They aren’t friends anymore because she chose to not be his friend.

His rants about her is racism.

Would you mind please specifying the racism? Just if you could, please show us how Piers was racist against Meghan. Thanks.

I am the poster who thinks he's misogynistic who you are happy with because I'm 'reasonable' I guess and we're in the minority in this thread.

You are very good at ignoring the parts of posts you don't want to read.

Piers Morgan has said racist things. I provided many tweets earlier. He walked off set of his show (unprecedented even in his career of tantrums!) when chastised by a black man. He also has a vendetta against a biracial woman that is far out of proportion to anything she has done. It is REASONABLE for people to then put two and two together to assume that his racist comments imply that he is racist and therefore his vendetta against the black woman has racist roots but because he is a not unintelligent guy, he has managed to not 'say the quiet part out loud' so to speak in his rants about her.

That is a reasonable logical leap. You have not made a single comment to refute this other than to petulantly ask for something he SPECIFICALLY SAID ABOUT MM.

And additionally, it is Piers Morgan's FAULT that he is facing these charges. He has been so uniformly hateful that people think is is racist, a transphobe, a misogynist, anti muslim, everything. Your defense to this is, 'since he hates everyone, he can't be racist'. And I say to you, because he hates everyone, he is ALL OF THOSE THINGS.

Again, what I’m looking for is evidence that Piers was racist against Meghan. That’s all I’m looking for. Nothing else.

Again, people have ceded that he hasn't said that but concluded that the totality of his actions implies bias. You refuse to engage with this discussion in good faith.

So you feel like he was racist but don’t have proof?

Who cares what you think if you don’t have proof? I don’t know you. Maybe you have terrible judgment.

You did not find my proof compelling because you decided it was not proof. You need something explicit to consider it proof. That says something about your judgement.

DP. You found “the totality of his actions” proof of racism? He doesn’t like someone and that makes him racist? He doesn’t like a lot of people - most of them white. This non-issue is unbelievably stupid.

It’s so easy for these twits to accuse others of various things but don’t you dare accuse them - or someone they love!

This makes no sense. And why are you out here caping for celebrities you don’t know and wouldn’t know you from a can of rusty paint , Sharon Osborn is that you??

I've never understood why Sharon's even a "thing" aside from being married to Ozzy.

Why is the Holly tweet continuing to circulate as fact when there is an email from Holly saying that it was Julie that called her ghetto?

Holly, per email, claimed is was Julie. Later and now, trying to say Sharon.

Why is she even getting the middle of this argument? She does not seem to remember it correctly or is lying or blaming everyone for her loss of work instead of her own lack of talent.

DP I have been thinking about this. The poster quoted instances of Piers saying dubious things which could definitely be deemed "racist" though they were not directed at MM. What she is showing you with that information is his mind set, his leanings and if his reaction to being ignored by MM is INFORMED by his racist leanings, then indeed he is reacting to her behavior as a racist, not just as a vile, unreasonable man. I think it is fair enough to say he has implicated himself as racist GENERALLY from what he has said in the past and that informs his actions. He is smart and his racism does not have to manifest in direct, quotable insults of a racist manner in order to be there, to be present.

What you’re saying is gobbledegook. Your husband may have made innocent comments that could be deemed sexist to some women. Many men probably could and have. Does that automatically make them sexist pigs who disrespect women, no it does not. One misconstrued remark or a few remarks doesn’t equal branding that person with a harmful label for life.

No, what was said was nuanced and accurate. You can have deep rooted racism which informs your decisions but does not necessarily manifest in typical racist outbursts. If you don't know that then you're ignorant and you are definitely not capable of reading nuance on any level. Sorry.

If its nuanced couldn’t it be interpreted differently by different people? That’s what nuance is. I’m not ignorant and I don’t see anything racist about Piers’ statements or Sharon’s statements for that matter. Maybe because it’s impossible to see it from my perspective. I can appreciate that you may see racism here, but I honestly can’t see it. It’s like one of those 3D puzzles or the blue and white dress thing, different people see completely opposite things.

I didn't realize so many people watched the Talk, or cared about Osborne, that's my only take away.

I personally do not care about Osborne, but it’s concerning and frankly scary how people are quickly labeled as racists or any other social misfit over ‘nuanced’ comments they may have made at some point in their lives. Just because a group thinks it’s racist doesn’t necessarily make it so. Let’s flip the coin and see what the reactions would be.

^^couldn’t accusing someone of racism equal defamation of character?
