If people used the same judgmental approach that they used for the victim here on themselves, then all of us would come up very low.

Shanaan never deserved what happened to her, nor did her children.
Bella and CeCe were the cutest, most adorable children.
They had their entire lives to look forward to when their Father snuffed them out.

That fact alone should take precedence over anything else.

Even if you want to criticize Shannan, don't forget he murdered two tiny little girls, his own babies, who he had been with and who had loved him from the day they were born. There is NO behavior in the world that can explain such a thing - except all of the things that are wrong with HIM.

True Crime Rocket Science has the most convincing theories I have read. The reason he claimed sex is because he had phone sex with Nichol earlier that evening. He may have known semen would be hanging around here and there in the house, in his room, on his clothes, etc.

The reason he mentioned Bella asking "is the same thing going to happen to me" is because Bella had been worrying about Cece's allergies and dying by allergic reaction. Babysitter said she was talking about it that Saturday night.

It is very unlikely the kids were alive in the car. Chris noticed the smell but the kids were likely killed first. They theorize he used Shannan's Oxycodone to knock them out before smothering.

Shannan probably never made it up the stairs. Probably never went to bed which is why she still had make up AND a bra on. How many of us sleep with bras on? I can't stand wearing a bra even when I'm awake.


In a later "last confession" he claimed he smothered the kids - and then they both woke up! So he had to kill them "a second time" at the work site. I mean he's just ridiculous. He works to incorporate things that actually happened in with his lies and it all comes out an unbelievable mess.

I just can't figure out why he lies so much. The whole world knows what he is, what he did and how awful he is. Why does he still make up stories about what happened? He's just nuts.

Oh ,man! They woke up, that means they were supposed to live and have a second chance. He could have left them at home and just took the wife to the work site. This wasn't well planned anyway and he would have been caught no matter what.

I thought it was interesting that the cops pointed out that his recent weight loss was to impress potential gf/mistresses. Here Shanann probably thought it was for her but really he was planning to step out for as long as it took for him to lose all that weight.

Why would he care if they found his semen in his house? He's not that bright, you're giving him a lot of credit that he's not due.

She probably kept her bra on while they had sex because when you're pregnant your boobs hurt.

Her bowels did evacuate upon death so when he said the kids kept complaining about the smell in the car, that rings true. There was no trace of drugs in the girls bodies on the toxicology report.

There is evidence he tried to smother the kids in their beds but it didn't work. They both woke up. It's common knowledge that smothering someone with a pillow takes a lot more time and force than people realize.

I think it is likely that the kids were alive in the car bc he was still debating killing them. He had already told the mistress that he had children and she didn't care. It was the wife that he had lied about.

My husband and I were haunted (still are) by this story and documentary.

One thing that stood out to me was when they had the cadaver dogs there the handler said how immaculate the house was. Now what husband left alone for a weekend with 2 preschoolers has an immaculate home when the mom comes home?

I think they were killed earlier, before the mom came home. Then he killed her when she came home.

NP here. I don't think you're wrong. But it is true that there was a lot of victim-blaming after this story came out. They addressed it in the film and Shanaan's dad even made a statement about how horrible it was the stuff people were saying about his daughter, and that she deserved to die.
