What about the victim’s right to a fair trial?

You’re right, he should have had a fair trial for his trespassing charges. No one is right here.

People are only innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

You don’t need a court to tell you they are guilty of murdering somebody.

Also it’s not trespassing.

Kids fit my lawn all the time to get to the basketball court behind my house. Being on my lawn is not trespassing.

It’s not because you allow it. A construction site - even if it’s unfinished - is private property. He was trespassing. No bones about it. Because other people do it, or there’s no lock on the door, that’s irrelevant.

I’m certainly not saying he deserves to die for it, but it is trespassing.

You might want to check trespassing laws.

Walking into a house under construction out of curiosity is not trespassing.

If you walk away without anything it’s not a crime.

Also there would need to be sign and that say “no trespassing”.

You can actually walk on private property and it’s “not trespassing” unless you have taken measures to stop people from coming onto that property.

I moved into a new build neighborhood and people walked into buildings under construction all the time. It’s legal unless there is a sign.

I got a nail through my foot twice (ouch). Nobody ever told us to stay out of the houses or mentioned it was trespassing. I guess an adult should know better, but it honestly didn't occur to me that there would be anything bad from just stepping onto a construction site to look around. It's very interesting - I have to admit I would be intrigued to look how a house is being built in my neighborhood and it would be difficult for me to not wander in once or twice to see how things are going. Perhaps this guy was doing some other shady stuff but the video to me means absolutely nothing.

It’s not unless there is a sign that said “no trespassing” or you committed a crime in the house while there.

He was jogging on a public street!!!!!

WTF!

If a white jogger has been hunted by two black men in broad daylight you would be calling them animals and screaming for justice. What is wrong with you?

Anonymous
A memo from GBI said he entered a construction site and did not engage in any illegal activities. I assume the GBI knows the trespassing laws in Georgia.

The reporter on the video quoted the GBI memo.

The most recent video seems to suggest he was not out for a jog and was only running when someone saw him on the construction property.

This is not true. GBI said he was jogging before stopping at the construction site.

Source please? The video shows him walking and news sources report that he was jogging but I have not read a story where the GBI, and not the media author, said he was jogging.

It's doesn't matter. He is not on trial these idiots are for killing him with a gun. They are not the police! They had no business with guns killing him! That is why we have a police force...

Just saying that he’s not a jogger-martyr. Agree they committed murder.

Those certainly don’t look like boots. I was told he was wearing work boots.

He was wearing Nike tennis shoes.

I know. But there were liars all over this thread saying he was out for a jog in work boots.

No, he wasn’t. There is a video circulating from across the street and there’s a porta potty within 100 yards.

I’m still not seeing anything in this video that entitled the two perps to shoot Mr. Arbery like a dog. What am I missing?

I remember my BIL saying he did this once. He was thinking about an addition and wondered what the layout of the new house was.

I don’t think anyone is saying the men who shot him were right.

They deserve to be convicted of murder.

But this is just not a hobbyjogger martyr lynching.
