Yes, very severe looking.

It's called aging, when you're skinny and don't do fillers and botox.

Her hair color was awful too. You can’t do all black like that. It looked like shoe polish. Even my husband commented on it (and he’s no metrosexual).

But I have loved her since her ER days. Her voice soothes me. She is so calm in contrast to Bradley and I loved her NYC home with the snow on the patio. I’ll move in.

I still haven't forgiven Juliana Margulies for having so much friction with Archie Punjabi on The Good Wife that she wouldn't even appear in scenes with her such that their last scene on the show together where they say goodbye was filmed separately and spliced together -- possibly because Margulies didn't like Punjabi getting an emmy nom when Margulies was supposed to be the big star ... wut?

I mean, wut is right. Who cares about any of this? It has nothing to do with her performance. I liked her on the good wife and like her on this. If I read that she was abusive on set or treated assistants really poorly, it might make me think less of her and view her differently on screen. But rumors about some beef she had with another actress (who I also like)? Who cares? They are actors and likely more emotional than the average person, it is probably a function of needing to be able to access emotions easily while performing. I think it leads to a lot of their inter-personal problems. But I can't imagine that being the deciding factor in whether or not I like an actor's performance.

I think JM is good on this show. I don't think Reese is great but she has really benefitted from her characters relationships with Alex, Cory, and Laura, all of whom are played by what I think are better actors (or in Jennifer Aniston's case, an actor who better understands how to play to her strengths as a performer, even if she's always playing a version of herself). I think there are a number of actors on this show who really carry it, and would include JM in that group.

I'm PP and I care. I loved The Good Wife but if the actor is actually a backbiting jerk, that matters to me. Once I knew Matt Lauer was harassing women, I didn't want to see him interview people anymore. I don't watch Woody Allen movies anymore. Everyone is different and some people care less about this stuff, but for me art isn't unconnected to the people who make it.

I'm still watching the Morning Show though so I guess either icing out a coworker isn't a fatal offense or I'm just a hypocrite. But my read of her characters is now colored by that incident

Except you're assuming JM was a villain based on nothing. What if AP was? Or both? What if it was just a difference of temperament and they just couldn't communicate well and it escalated? I read their different acting styles was part of the friction.

Please. Everyone in the industry knows it was JM who was the problem. Every set she’s been on, she’s been rumored to be difficult and condescending.

If being "difficult and condescending" is a hatable offense for actors, you might as well stop watching TV and movies. That's like 70-80% of all A-list actors. I don't understand how you can not know this.

Uh the waitress got a tip if $20k. Anyone would have done it. If the guys had asked for her to sleep with them she would have.

I would totally lick up water from a table for $20k! I think Stella was more upset than the waitress. It was a pretty disturbing scene.

DP. It really was disturbing. It was somewhat "comforting" to see how upset Stella was by it too. At least she knew how disgusting it was. She should have gone back later and given the waitress a heartfelt apology - and another huge tip.

They are singing about playing mahjong?

I think because this show has been such a guilty pleasure watch that I really look forward to, that feeling has extended to the opening credits and now I enjoy them, even though they are quite dumb, because it means I get to soon watch this show, which I also enjoy even though it is often quite dumb.

Well said! I'm the original poster who complained about how bad the opening credits are, but I see what you mean. It's like a Pavlov's dog kind of thing!

DP. I am the complete opposite. I never let someone's personal life - or in this case, merely *rumors* - interfere with my enjoyment of their acting/music/art/movies, etc. As for JM, you have no idea if she "iced out" Panjabi or not. None of us are privy to the details.

+1, and comparing it to the Matt Lauer situation is unnecessary. Matt Lauer was harassing and assaulting women who worked below him, using his power as a celebrity and high-paid on air personality to get what he wanted out of women who trying to make it in a competitive industry, it's disgusting.

All we know about JM and AP on the set of the Good Wife is that they didn't get along and there may have been professional jealousy. Whatever, none of my business. There's never been an accusation of abuse and while JM was the headliner on that show AP was also a well-paid featured actor on the show and has a very good career. I think getting drawn into that drama and choosing sides is just buying into narratives about women competing and the need to pick a side. You don't. I like them both. Glad they've both moved onto other projects. AP was good on the recent Idris Elba miniseries. I like JM in this.

+2
Reminds me of those idiotic threads, "Tell me about a celebrity you think is a jerk!" and then people just pile on with rumors and outright lies about people they don't even know. Really gross.

- Meanwhile, Bradley... yawn. They want me to care so much about what exactly Bradley "owes" Cory for and I just don't. At least not yet. Just tell us and let it play out. Keeping us in suspense on something that already happened in the timeline of the show, and that multiple characters already know about, feels cheap.

I thought he was referencing the sex tape of Bradley that he paid to have go away. Also, it was insinuated that they hooked up after they searched for her brother, and she said she was worried about that also coming out, but then he said he didn't tell anyone. So maybe that too?

And also, he pretty much made her whole career on the Morning Show. He decided to put her on in the very beginning. So really, she does have him to thank for everything.

I don’t think it was the just the last scene. I think it was the last season or two they didn’t film together.

Anyone know the story behind the animosity?

Could you please start a new thread about this supposed rift? This thread is about the Morning Show.

S3E4 first scene between Cory and Alex. What is wrong with Jen’s hair? Why do they have just in a wig and then somewhat normal hair with extensions the rest of the episode?

Ok, now we know why Bradley owes Cory for several enormous things. Sorry, it's bogus to protect a family member who engaged in that particular criminality. No integrity.

Yep. I have zero sympathy for Bradley and can’t believe the cover up.

Yeah, I was finally starting to warm up to her character—really like her rapport with JM—but now back to disliking her.
