Yet we're supposed to care about some teen bimbo few have ever heard who was maybe going to get a communications degree from USC? Give me a break. This is all a distraction from real rigging and fraud, which is 1000x worse in scale.

Yes and if there were an easy way to prove that he bribed his way in we would love to see him prosecuted and punished for that. Unfortunately, he didn't make it as obvious as LL and her husband did so we have to deal with punishing the more blatant criminals that left clear evidence. Just because someone is less famous doesn't mean they shouldn't be punished for the same crime!

Trump's father bribed Trump's way into Penn. Trump bribed Ivanka and the son's way into Penn. Tiffany may have gotten in on her own merit. The rich and famous have been doing this for years and will continue to do it.

LOL stop it

I just got a CNN breaking news alert that Lori Loughlin, along with 15 others, is being charged in a second superseding indictment. What does this mean?

20-freaking-years in prison time if the money laundering is proven.

BREAKING: #LoriLoughlin faces another potential 20 yrs prison time in #CollegeAdmissionsScandal with new money laundering conspiracy charge

Because Loughlin and her hubby's crimes involved far more money, they are being told to accept 2 years in prison as part of a plea deal or have more charges added and go to trial. Nice to see rich white people actually not skating for a change.

Exactly what happened to Teresa and Joe Guidice. She got a 1.5 years and he got 3 years.

I can see this sentencing for Lori...if the money laundering doesn't get her first.

I think a big fine and community service are in order but making a long sentence because someone doesn’t like white people is wrong. My guess is she got manipulated and made a horrible decision and maybe even deluded herself that she was giving to a charity. It’s bad for sure but seeing in the news 29 years a possibility is not what we use the criminal justice system for. I think Felicity Hiffman’s plea is fine but just because less money doesn’t make it any better. Having someone take a test is very serious than pretending to be an athlete. Both the We yams should be the same.

Manipulated???

SHE contacted a private firm which explicitly provides secretive and illegal services to skate around the admissions process for highly selective institutions. She paid them gargantuan sums of money to do exactly what they did. She coerced her daughters to go along with the college plans (even though they had no interest) and she made sure they did their part to be admitted under the fraudulent scheme - including showing up at particular testing site centers and posing for photographs with props.

Pray tell - how was she manipulated?

Oh please. This firm also had legitimate clients. Remember many of them have come out to say they hired for educational consulting. This is like an educational consultant gone wild. I think it started innocent and then it became
Criminal. She should be punished and fined but the 20
years is an overreach. This whole thing has gotten over the top. I have gone from being angry to
Realizing that yet another time overzealous prosecutors are using their job for drama.

I really don't care about any of this, tbh. It amuses me to see all the DCUM uptights all worked up about it mostly because they are steamed their dull kids were never getting into these schools.

And yet here you are reading and responding to a 15-page long thread on the topic. And we are uptight and worked up for posting in this thread but you are somehow immune to that judgment.

No he is not
And once Trump's presidency is over, will be forgotten
Unless he has been stupid and will be arrested

Why should she be fined with no jail time for a criminal complaint?

Fine and 15-24 months in prison would do just fine. 48 months would be overkill but also would be poetic justice as that's how long her daughter would have spent in college for a position she didn't earn.

Two years is waaay long. One year max. Floating that she will have 20 years if she does not agree is what is wrong with current legal system. The facts are she was a wacky mom who made a bad decision. She is not a career
Criminal set to rob more banks or physically assault anyone.

She wouldn't have had 20 years if she'd agree to actually owning up to what she did. The emails and recorded calls are clear. As is her daughter's admission to a university she couldn't get in on her own and the money Loughlin wired to the company that got her there.

Notice Huffman isn't facing 20 years, because she wasn't charged with money laundering.

I would love to know how Olivia Jade and sister were passing their classes once they were admitted. Olivia Jade apparently wasn't all that fond of even going to class....

Now we know how they got in but it would be fun to know how they stayed in. Think they're going to spill?
