| Show up for her court appearance all smiles, signing autographs, glad handing the prosecutors. At least Felicity Huffman has the decency to at least act ashamed. |
| She's doing a kind of damage control. It's one of many different tactics to take. As someone in Crisis PR industry, I think Laughlin is picking the best strategy for her. She can definitely rebound from this, it will not stay with her forever. |
ITA. I actually think she can come out ahead. I think she can tap into all of the fears and insecurities all parents have for their kids. It could play very well on the day time circuit. I bet we see her take a permanent seat on the view or something similar in the next year and half. |
| She could write an op ed about it mollifying all the parents out there for the GOT levels they go for their kids. I didn’t but I get it. |
| Stop keeping stupid, greedy people famous! What a sad commentary on our times. |
| Well.... duh?? |
THIS is the story that broke your faith in modern day humanity, not the 2016 election? Or any number of the insanely stupid tweets that have come from greedy famous people since? |
| Wonder if/how she could be limited from profiting from her crimes? |
She can’t. She entitled to money from memoirs, interviews... If people want to read and hear about it, more power to her! |
I hope she has to do some jail time. It's disgusting that she doesn't realize how shameful her actions were. I didn't ever really have an opinion of her before, now I can't STAND her. |
Except that kind of strategy is for AFTER your court case has concluded and/or your pertinence is done. It’s for winning back contracts and popularity. It’s absolutely the wrong thing to do as a the trial is started and you haven’t even been sentenced. The judge could easily take a disliking to her showing off and her crisis PR people should know that. |
| I think she is choosing her strategy wisely and I also think she will come out ahead. Now she might still do time but this will be a Martha Stewart type of rebirth. She will be fine and is willing to do the repair work. People will want her story more now than ever and she's deciding to steer that ship. |
| Her children will never trust her again. That's the worst part. |
Of course not. This is just one of many examples so you can take your deliberately obtuse, sanctimonious BS somewhere else. |
| Any bets on how much she’ll have to pay to not go in any doors to a jail cell? |
