Maybe they were enrolling for a degree in physical therapy? USC isn't that rigorous - there's no foreign language requirement, you can finish your degree anywhere from 6-10 years with no stipulations, and you only need a 2.0 GPA to graduate. http://catalogue.usc.edu/content.php?catoid=8&navoid=2120 |
I think colleges let you stay in for awhile even if you're doing poorly when the checks keep coming in. Also "Cs get degrees" and all that. I think with a non-challenging courseload you could skate by doing the bare minimum or retaking classes you fail for a couple of years... |

I say again - they did this for...USC?
|
IKR? |
USC may not mean anything to you, but it's a really big deal on the west coast. |
She is friends with the Dean. She was on his yacht when the scandal broke. |
OJ said she wanted to talk to her professors, as she'd be missing classes b/c of her "side job." Missing one college class is annoying as hell. I can't imagine missing a week or two. So this whole college thing was a joke from the start - at least for OJ. I don't know anything about her sister. |
No, the yacht belonged to the billionaire head of the board of trustees, not the dean ("Chair of the Board of Trustees and Executive Committee") |
One year max for LL? The recommended sentence for Felicity Huffman is 4-10 months. No way is LL getting 12 months. |
The fact that this could happen is just one of so many reasons that our society is ridiculous. All of these people are horrible. Why anyone would want to listen to them or watch them in their awful Hallmark Channel movies or awful sitcoms is beyond me. |
From what I read LL could get more time because she paid for both daughters, 2 counts and more money total. |
She could also get more time because they didn't take the first plea deal offered; hence the additional charges. |
She'll get out fast for good behavior, as do other rich people who commit manslaughter with DWI, drug offenses etc. |
You are getting tiresome. |
Wonder if Lori will be prancing up the courthouse and signing autographs after this debacle?
"Lori Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli reportedly thought prosecutors in her college admissions cheating case were bluffing when they declined a plea deal that called for 2.5 years in prison. ... They are now facing 20 years behind bars." "She has been in complete denial and thought maybe she could skate by. She refused to accept any jail time and thought the DA was bluffing. She was adamant she wouldn't do any jail time," a source told the outlet. "Lori is finally realizing just how serious this is. She is seeing the light that she will do jail time and is freaking out." https://www.refinery29.com/en-us/2019/04/229322/lori-loughlin-college-scandal-prison-time |
