I used to hang out with an insane number of famous people- can’t even name them all but they include Jay Z, Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, Justin Timberlake, Pharrell, Fergie, Lindsey Lohan, , and so so many more.
I wouldn’t call them friends though. They were very close with some of my very good friends (who own too NYC nightclubs), so i was often at the same table with them and hanging out and hating with them. They all know my name and would stop to chat if I crossed them on the street. . But it wasn’t like I had their number or called them up. I was in fact good friends with Puff (P Diddy but friends still call him Puff), Danny masterson, Tara Reid, David Blaine, Pharrell, Harvey Weinstein (hesitated naming this one and definitely not a fan or friend anymore),Caleb Followill, Robin Thicke, and a number of the big Victoria Secret models. Besides these people I have met countless other celebrities from A-list to D-list but didn’t hang out with them more than once (or at all besides being introduced) and I doubt they would remember me. |
Kind of laughing hard at my “hating with them” typo. That should have been chatting with them! |
wow, give the scoop on some of them. Anything interesting you remember? Did you know Harvey was a perv? Who is the most down to earth and the biggest diva? |
That’s because the band’s name is Twisted Sister. |

Quentin Tarantino and I went to High School together. We were in the same social group but not close friends. We hung out occasionally. He was ODD, unsurprisingly. He wrote scripts back then too, and always was asking us to read them but they were always 500 pages long and no one really read them through. He’d get irate, he was arrogant at times too.
Nothing about him now surprised me. He had the same personality at 15 as he does now at 55. He also was rumored to be a creep, but never did anything to me. (As a fairly butch lesbian you wouldn’t expect it anyways). Can’t say anything bad about him beyond that... |
Agreed. Lame. Although hardly any 80s heartthrobs went to college so it shouldn't be too hard to narrow down. The only two I can think of are John Cusack (NYU) and Judd Nelson (Haverford). None of the other suggestions -- Scott Baio, Michael J. Fox, Kirk Cameron, Ricky Schroeder, Mark-Paul Gosselaar -- went to college. I just realized it said 80s sitcom heartthrob so that rules out Judd and John C. who were movies. I've got nothing. |

Why all past tense? |
| Left eye of TLC, a miami dolphins player, and kind of sort of dating a singer who collaborated with maclemore. I also had a chance of becoming famous once but I was too shy. |
Entered a very conservative career was the first retraction from that lifestyle, then quit my "fun" vices, then got married, then moved to DC, then had kids and can now barely stay up past 10pm unless i have to finish something for a client at my desk. I'm not the same person I was then and don't dabble in the same scene. I slowly lost contact until i couldn't care less anymore about the effort to keep them up. I'm still very close with the mutual friends and I still exchange birthday sentiments with my closest of the famous friends, but all in all, I just grew out of that scene. To pp who asked- i have bookS worth of fantastic super juicy stories but I would never tell. As for Harvey, I'll just say I'm not surprised. In contrast, there is another one of my good friends from the past who has recentlY been the subject of similar allegations and i deeply don't believe the allegations are true based on my experience and very close relationship with the person. I would actually bet a lot that the allegations are complete BS. |
You wouldn't recognize her today. Not from the official portrait, anyway ... |

One of my close family members is not famous, but is in a band that has been around forever and he's a loveable figure in the scene of 80s and 90s rock bands. He now mostly works as a session musician in L.A.
In 2003 or so, before everyone communicated solely by phone, he made the classic mistake of sending an email about his change of address with his entire contact list in the CC field. It was fun to see all the rock stars with their aol and hotmail accounts. |
| My mom dated someone who went on to be a top folk singer in the 60's: Peter Yarrow. This was when both were college students. |
OMG!!!!!! ARE WE STILL TALKING ABOUT THIS!!! ^^^^^ enough already! Dee Snider hasn't gotten this much press in the last 20 years combined ! |
He got famous. Billy, not DH. |
