Question for White Americans about the future of US

It concerns me that those with the least resources to raise children seem to be having them in far greater numbers than those with ample resources. This goes for poor whites as well as poor minorities.

To the OP: I'm white and really couldn't care less about the color/race of the majority of the country or the people in charge. I care about how they will behave & lead. Why is race relevant to this at all? I feel like your question is part of the problem-- the obsession with race and categorizing people all the damn time. We are going backwards in this regard.

Lol. If white ppl weren't so obsessed with race, we wouldn't be having this discussion. Its relevant bc racial disparities exist. And have done so for centuries. USA would not exist in its current form without racism. So spare me your fragility on race matters.

Should rearing children really be a class issue? Should only the wealthy be able to have as many children as they want?

I am a white highly educated legal immigrant and it's not the color or percentage I am worried about, but affirmative action on the one hand and the tiger parent madness of model minorities on the other.
My white son of average abilities from a lower middle class family has little chance to go to a good college and have a good career because he is between a rock and a hard place. Unless he suddenly becomes outstanding in one area or another, of course.
He goes to a majority minority school, so I hope he will blend in otherwise

Why would i be worried? I just hope the minorities that are lagging in terms of education (mostly blacks and some hispanics) get it together in terms of valuing education. A large ignorant population is not good for the whole. However, i see economic domination and power being consolidated with the Asians, while the historically lagging minorities will cintunue to be left behind. They value education and are dominating the highly skilled jobs. They don't whine and complain, don't play victim and just get it done, make money, take care of their families. That's the future if America if it's is going to have one.

My white child goes to a predominately upper middle class school with heavy Asian demographics. I love the fact that the academics are rigorous because that is what the parents demand. I take him to additional math tutoring 3 dayd a week, not because he struggles, but to get him ahead., just like his peers with tiger moms.i walk into his math center and there are usually 3 whites (mainly male children) and the rest all Asian. Original Americans (blacks and whites) are chosing not to get with the program and step it up and try to compete with the highest common denominator. You can be a minority and still be successful, you just have to work at it and have parents who value education. I see it with thr Asian parents, our schools are good because thr parents put the pressure on and demand excellence.
