Complete honesty is needed to form any sort of worthwhile relationship.
I am sorry for your experience, and I honestly don't know what I would do if I was in your situation. But, please, don't be violent.
I would probably see a counselor, so you have someone you can confide in if you don't feel you would be able to disclose this to friends and family.
Everyone takes things differently, and it is pretentious to brush off what others are feeling as overactive, abnormal, or opinionated wrong.
You need to end it and start healing. This forum is going to be no help to you, and it will just feed your anger.
