Another fed here. It isn't really a clean CR when the White House is taking the position they can ignore the budget when they don't like it. I certainly don't want to see the Democrats vote for a CR or a budget until the Republicans address impoundment. |
Exactly, and agreed. |
That has absolutely nothing to do with the CR. This is the Democrat disconnect. |
Sure thing, champ. Maybe if you stamp your feet while you keep repeating it, that might make it true. |
The OBBB passed. It’s that simple. Defunding the government because you’re upset is stamping your feet. |
Then prove it. |
|
“The Clean CR” is just the One Big Beautiful Bill, but now it needs 60 votes instead of the 51 that originally passed the OBBB. Not sure why the Dems would suddenly vote for the OBBB when it makes huge cuts to programs + Trump has impounded money from the previous budget despite it being passed by Congress + signed into law by the previous President.
If Trump can unilaterally suspend spending mandated by Congress, what’s the point of voting for this “clean CR”? |
No, you are wrong. |
Sure thing, champ. Maybe if you stamp your feet while you keep repeating it, that might make it true. |
Oh wait, sorry -- are you saying that once something is funded, it should actually receive the money? Didn't you get the memo that this isn't the way it works anymore, at least in Trump's administration? |
Are you saying that once programs have funding passed and allocated, they should receive that funding? |
It will. Just wait. |
Then pass this one with 51 votes as well. That's how Trump's been governing for nine months. |
That was all you were doing. Sorry it stung, but thanks for confirming it hurt your feelings. |
Oh, you think those were my words? Try and keep up. |
