FALSE. It shows that Asian students were accepted at a HIGHER rate than most others. Some groups can claim discrimination based on disparate acceptance rates, but it’s not Asian students. |
Everyone: don’t believe PP’s democrat lies. She and her democrat/progressive allies on the FCPS school board already watered-down TJ admissions and diminished the AAP program. But she will lie to your face about it. Democrats hate TJ and the AAP program. |
I will answer the question, since everyone else seems to be arguing about politics! Offered Franklin ms 4.0 Geometry prefer not to say none |
Not everyone, basically just one person, he/she might C4TJ who want it to be shine again, he is very quick on every thread repeating the same nonsense about how TJ is a disaster now, and for whom who disagree he will call you racist anti asian affiliated with certain party. He just unhinged. Sometimes we just want to entertain it. Btw, congratulations to your child acceptance! |
Why do you keep bringing politics into this thread, PP? |

Any idea when the waitlist starts to move? Could folks share if their results are a result of waitlist moving? |
waitlist wont move until after 14th May deadline to accept/reject the initial offers. |
You are projecting. Let’s look at the facts. We have actual data from the class of 2025. Asian students had a HIGHER acceptance rate than almost all other groups, aside from Hispanic students. Hispanic 21% Asian 19% ALL 18% White 17% Black 14% Multiracial/Other* 13% Facts don’t fit into the RWNJ narrative. |
NP. You're oversimplifying. Do Asian students have a higher acceptance rate after you control for GPA? I know these aren't used in the process, but do they have a higher acceptance rate if you control for math level, SOL scores, courseload, and major achievements? Your analysis assumes that TJ applicants of all races have around the same abilities and thus should be admitted at roughly the same rates. |
It is that simple. The earlier RWNJ narrative was: “ Asian American students acceptance rate is the lowest compared to other race groups “ The data shows this is a blatant lie. |
The acceptance-to-applicant ratio is about the same for all races. TJ has a lot of Asians because that's the largest group of applicants. |
Asian enrollment is now at a historic high. |
