No big name Democrat is going to run against the potential first woman of color President, particularly one who has been serving as VP and has the endorsement of President Biden. No one.

Now it's all about the VP pick.

If that is the primary reason to choose a candidate for the Democratic party, we deserve to lose to Trump.

Who is "we"? No decent human being "deserves" to lose to Trump.

This is the sort of elitism that makes a liberal like me to vote for Trump.

Better than Biden, but not good enough. She needs to get on stage and debate Trump.

He’ll eat her alive. Sad but true!

???

She is smart, a former prosecutor and is quick enough to call out his lies.

Yup. It's hard. RBG should have stepped down when Obama was president.

She's younger and can manage to memorize answers. Trump will seem confused by comparison. If I were Trump, I would refuse any debate. Even if she's as likeable as dishwater, she's more coherent.

Did you just fall out of a coconut tree?

She can be fixed. Her staff is awful.

Her staff has turned over constantly.

So did Trump's administration and that didn't stop the GOP from nominating him again.

I disagree. Trump’s convention speech was a complete disaster. The convention was a total clown show. JD Vance has no experience and nobody actually knows what it is that he stands for since he changes his stance so much. The GOP wanted Joe to stay in the race. Kamala can speak coherently about abortion rights, J6 and Project 2025.

None of which the voting public considers their pressing issues. LOL. her candidacy is a joke. Cannot wait for the debate. And it turns out the instincts of JD Vance were correct.

You mean when JD Vance called Trump Hitler and said he believed that the airline stewardess was assaulted? Or was it when he delivered homemade cookies to his transgender friend after surgery? JD Vance is a possible sleeper Dem just waiting for old Don to go. DJT will be exactly where BIden is today in two years.

DJT is already there.

I don't know what Vance's deal is but he married a brown woman, lives in a liberal neighborhood, and has chosen to rear his children in that liberal neighborhood with many a rainbow flag flying.

It's probably like that comedian said long ago about being president. They put you (the candidate) in a room and show you the JFK assassination and then ask, "any questions?" In other words, you will do what they say.

You think that leads to consistency?

You can't give up the power of the incumbency and be a lame duck for 18 months.

That said:

Joe should be praised for what he did for this country in 2020 and Kamala should carry the mantle of the Biden Coalition and bring centrists to the table to defeat MAGA and Trump once and for all.

His presidency has been a disaster and Kamala would be worse.

Were shelves empty of toilet paper under Biden?
Did the UN Assembly laugh at Biden?
No?

Not a disaster.

I'd say starving babies under Biden's watch was pretty horrific.

There are valid reasons criticisms of the Trump administration, but it's tough to see how he is to blame for a virus originating in China and a bunch of nervous nellies panic-buying a bunch of TP. And who really cares what the UN Assembly thinks. The UN is a laughably inept body.

The Titanic was an awesome cruise, until it wasn't.

face it, the ONLY thing Trump did was appoint judges and pass a tax cut that ballooned the national debt.

Biden has managed to get consequential legislation through that will positively impact the US for decades.

Ditto. Could literally be a festering piece of sh.t tbh. Anyone and anything but Trump and Vance.

Hahahahahaha
That woman is a moron. She will do nothing but embarrass herself. She will fall out of that coconut tree for sure.

With Trump's age, IQ, corruption and temper, do you see him as a legit choice?

I remember no babies dying of starvation. I do remember the refrigerate morgue trucks under Trump and him telling us to inject bleach.

Why would Whitmer agree to being the VP? I thought she had her eyes on 2028.

Whitmer, Newsom, and Shapiro have all said NO THANKS to Kamala

That's okay, we'll take Mark Kelly.

It is time for us to do what we have been doing. And that time is every day.
